Superb Desktop Replacement,

This review is from: HP Pavilion ZD7005QV Laptop (2.66 GHz Pentium M, 512 MB RAM, 40 GB Hard Drive, DVD/CD-RW Drive) (Personal Computers)
This is an excellent laptop, It big screen, Full size key borard, Builtin WiFi, LAN and Modem Jack, 4 USB ports and easy to upgrade HDD and RAM Options make this machine well worth the money of around 1150$ .The Harmon/Kardon Speakers give a crisp clear sound with more bass than any other Laptop speaker I have ever heard before!. The crisp 15.4" widescreen display and Nvidia? GeForce(TM) graphics make any program look amazing, The 2.66 Ghz is enough to run any application or game flawlessly. Hp has also incorporated a media card reader which unfortunatly does not support the "compact Flash" type cards. There are a couple of things though that should be seriously considered before buying this laptop!!!The notebook processor eats up the battery as fast as 1 hour and 30 minutes, as compared to what is claimed by HP i.e. 2 hours. The two fans on the bottom are NOT so loud and the notebook becomes very little bit hot. Due to these fans The machine should be placed on a rigid surface while its working. The maximum resolution is 1200*800 not 1024*1024 that is claimed above. This laptop is not what you could consider "ultra portable" but it is an excellent Desktop replacement

First thing I notice when I opened the box was the computer wasn't pentium M was just Pentium 4 that was a little bit disappointing until I turn it on, is a great machine, good software, plenty of ram, wide screen, I'm using this laptop as a desktop replacement, batery is little short live 2 hours, but worth the money. For $1299 is the best option you can get.

Out of all the notbooks I have found this one to be the best. I convienced my boyfriend that if he was to get a widescreen it was better to get one that had the numerical keypad too. I have used his notebook a bunch and I think it is great! It is a bit heavy but worth it when you get to use the widescreen!I plan to own one myself!

Hello, i recently bought this computer from Amazon.com. After comparing prices and reading lot's of reviews, i decided to buy this widescreen notebook, this is what i found:When i opened the box, i must confess i kind of got scared about the size and weight of it, but, as soon as i turned the notebook on, all my fears disapeared, super fast computer, enough RAM Memory, amazing and beautiful bright wide-screen,excelent performance. So, for $1,249 i think this is the best notebook you can find.

This is one of the best Laptops going for the price, add up all the features that Hp gives you and go to Dell and try to find a laptop that will match up for the price............. You can't do it. Yes it is a large laptop at 9.6lbs it is not very portable, battery life is on the short side but, Hp has marketed this laptop as a DESKTOP REPLACEMENT , how many desktops weigh 9.6lbs? This computer runs applications and games at great speeds, the 15.4 display is awesome for Dvd's and games, 4 usb ports, a firewire , wireless built in at 802.11g, 6 in 1 digital media reader..............how can you not like this laptop.

This is my first notebook ever, and it's really hard to get use to the touch pad, so I got myself a small usb wireless mouse, and you can apreciate the capabilities of this notebook a lot better. An excellent piece of hardware. Wireless networking is more than what I expected. The numeric pad is an excelent feature. Aplications run really fast. On the down side, a bit heavy (9+ pounds) but still very portable. Overall, HP did a very good job with this one.

I recently bought an HP laptop, but ran into a disk failure about a month ago. I then made the total mistake of trusting what I was told by the HP customer care folks about what to do regarding repairing the hard drive while preserving whatever data may still be retrievable on it.Because my machine was still under warranty, I was inclined (and In the end, they never called, and simply threw out my old hard drive completely against my wishes. Of course, I had never been told, despite my half-dozen previous phonecalls, that discarding bad drives was company policy. So now, I find myself a victim of HP's indifference and ineptitude. Ask yourself - if something goes wrong, do you really want to trust a customer service that is as willing to lie to you and brush you off when it suits their interests as HP does? Besides, even when it works, it's really not that great a laptop. You'd probably do much better with most any other brand. HPs are heavy, the battery doesn't live long. And considering the questionable quality, you sure pay a lot.

HP? You should have known better. Dell has the best customer service, best products, fastest shipping time (I ordered my Inspiron 8600 on a Friday, and I had it in my hands by Tuesday-and that is built from the "ground" up. Yes, a little pricy, but I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for!
