The first one I received had a problem with the software which caused error messages and prevented back-up of data. The screen turned off for a few seconds if I touched it. A wireless device could not connect to the laptop via its ad-hoc hotspot, and HP will not help with connectivity problems. Returns are allowed within one month of receiving it, so I kept working with HP to solve the problems. I rated it 2 stars.

UPDATE 12/3/11:

HP replied to my comments above and offered help (again), but they still couldn't do anything.

Then I asked Amazon to send me a replacement, which they did, and it works GREAT! Amazon paid for all shipping, and they let me keep the first one until after I received the replacement! Amazon customer service is Amazing.

Its cooling is fine, not like some other HP notebooks. I3 is not perfect but it is good for daily uses and some games. This large screen is good for gaming and watching vedios; battery is not bad for such a big screen.

We use this laptop for a variety of uses, and we love it!!. We purchased it last fall and have had no problems whatsoever and use it on a daily basis!!. It has excellent quality for watching movies as well!!
I would highly recommend this laptop!. I have a dell desktop computer that I have had nothing but issues with......so this has been a major improvement!!. A computer that actually works well!! ;)

What? A month since Christmas? The keyboard. It's wearing away.

All those keys have white lettering missing. A little premature I say.
Webcam, eh. It'll do.
Sound! Holy mackerel! I am amazed. I don't even use this laptop. It's hers. The sound is incredible.
Battery life! Wow! She sits there for hours with it. 4? 5 hours?
Size, weight: well, okay I guess. I mean I only paid like 370 for it.
It has a nicer processor I think so maybe that is the extra cost. I got a sweet deal on it. But I wouldn't pay more for any laptop. They're so cheap these days. My new laptop cost the same p6100.

Would I recommend?
For 370! hell yeah. Otherwise, knowing about the keyboard, no. Cuz I had HP's before and I swore never to buy one again. Friggin support, friggin tablet convertable being built to overheat in exactly 17 mos and 28 days.

The laptop looks good, sounds good, tastes okay. Must be good.

This computer was bought for school and everyday use. I have own this laptop now for over two and its incredible. Everything that is describe work perfectly fine. Good speed, awesome sound system and really light.

Excellent product, arrived in time estimates in the order, the descriptions were correct, it met my expectations and an excellente seller, recommended 100%

I got my new HP laptop for day one (not from Amazon) and HP tricked me to have a antivirus software installed during initial software installation.

What really dirty here is they also ship a bunch of software full of trojan horse and virus in the default software package. So when I try to use the internet browser for the first surf, the antivirus software rudely jumps out like a gang and blocks me from doing anything, including uninstall itself! Every time, I am forced to enter a page asking to pay $69.99 for their stupid and buggy software. Am I going to pay you the $69.99 that you are begging for? NO! I return this crap back to where it is from.

It also reminds me another HP printer I had that it expires its ink catrige after a few months and I cannot print if I don't buy another $5x.xx ink. The reason is to "Guarantee print quality". Come on, it's simple back ink!

Conclusion, HP is running DIRTY business. It cheats, it begs. it sucks. It plays dishonest and dirty games with customers. Stay away from it!
