VERY GOOD DESKTOP REPLACEMENT, January 17, 2006
This review is from: HP Pavilion zd8220us 17" Laptop (Intel Pentium 4 Processor 630 (H-T), 512 MB RAM, 80 GB Hard Drive, LightScribe DVD+/-RW and CD-RW Combo Drive) (Personal Computers)
I shoped around for a while for a media center computer. This laptop is by far the best laptop i have ever had.
Pros: The screen is the best part about this laptop(wide and clear). Its great for games and video editing. photoshop runs soo fast. The card reader is soo usefull. Nice remote.More connections than you will ever need( without out the docking station). Fast wireless connection.
Cons: Low battery life, But who cares its a DESKTOP REPLACEMENT. Its kinda expensive. Its heavy. No compact flash card reader. Hard drive get full fast if you record tv alot. Remote doesnt work sometimes.
Overall this laptop is a very good product. I recommend this to anyone who doesnt want to pay for Tivo. Its kinda pricey but its really worth it. I would really like to see a fingerprint reader on this thing and more buttons on the top of the keyboard. I have had this laptop for over six months and i havent had any problems with it yet. Good Investment.

Great computer, November 3, 2006
This review is from: HP Pavilion zd8220us 17" Laptop (Intel Pentium 4 Processor 630 (H-T), 512 MB RAM, 80 GB Hard Drive, LightScribe DVD+/-RW and CD-RW Combo Drive) (Personal Computers)
Computer works great. The only beef I have with it is the fact that it only came with 512 RAM. I ordered 2 Gigs and now it cooks, and I can play games onine and such with no problems. (Everquest, Command and Conquer: Zero Hour, Stronghold 2).
I haven't used all the features yet, but I fully intend to. I love this computer and would buy it again.
