Great for webpage,

We take a lot of pictures, but I can't convince my wife to move to a digital camera. That leaves me with the problem of getting all of our snap-shots posted on our webpage. I have a regular full-size flat bed scanner, but I hated scanning pictures with it because it took forever to do each picture, it did not have one-button scan and also took up a ton of desk space. I started exploring for a small photo scanner. I found this scanner and one from photoscanner... Both are small. The HP is only 300x300dpi where the photoscanner... one is 600x1200 dpi. However, the photoscanner...one is $[money]and the HP is only $[money]. I choose the HP and have been very happy. It is quick and provides nice quality for webpages, but not great printable quality. However, if you need a photo scanner to scan photos AND PRINT THEM, I would suggest that get something else. Again, if you just need to post to the web or email them, this is going to be just fine.

I recently bought the HP 4x6 photo scanner. It is great for what it is. A convenient and quick and easy to use scanner for someone who only wants to scan their photos onto their computer. I quickly realized though its not for me. Im taking mine back to get an upgraded HP scanner. I have photos that are bigger than 4x6 and therefore the scanner wont work. Also, the dpi is only 300. It looks good, but the bigger scanners have a much higher resolution and you can use them for more projects.

I recently purchased the HP PS1000 4x6 Photo Scanner. I bought this because I am into genealogy. I need to be able to scan photos from relatives without the hassle of taking the picture home, scanning into my PC, sending the picture back to the relative....UGH!! This way, I can hook the scanner to my laptop and have my own copy of the photo instantly. The scanner is small, easy to use and scans very quickly...better than my home flatbed scanner! The software included edits photos easily. I also recently purchased a portable photo printer, also by HP. If you're in need of mobile scanning, this is the scanner to get!
