Purchased recently and had it up and running on my home wifi network in about 10 minutes. I have two Mac laptops, 2 Iphones and an Ipad mini--all can access the printer over wifi and print without a problem. Haven't tried e-fax yet, but so far everything works as advertised. This printer replaced a Cannon MX 900 that had had great reviews, but I found it very noisy and prone to paper jams.

Or otherwise, that's what it's get. Less than a year old. Will not print from the black cartridge. HP support website is flooded with people posting questions about it, no helpful answers from HP. Hoping I can get Staples to take back unsued ink cartridges, but the printer itself and the ink in the machine is $$ down the tubes.

We had a cheaper, older Canon that gave us 5 problem free years before it died. Won't be buying HP printer again.

First of all I purchased this printer from Costco.

We own a PC with WIN 7 and the printer software loaded just fine. I have test the scanner, printer and wireless printing and all work just fine. I have not tried the fax because we don't fax, I can't remember the last time I had to send or receive a fax.

Wireless paired fine with our home wireless network no problem. We have 3 computers in the home and all three print no problem. All of our cell phones are iPhone and there has been no problem sending documents or photos.

The last printer we had was an HP 1610 and that must have last at least 5 or 6 years but our college kids wanted a wireless printer so they could print away from home. I hope this HP printer lasts as long as our last one.

I have seen some reviews regarding connection or loading software but we never had any of those problems. It looks nice and works great.

A lot of the problems that were expressed re. the HP PS6525/6520E have happened to me on the much more expensive HP Officejet Pro 276dw. The paper jams a lot, and the mechanism that makes the paper roll up from the paper tray into the print area has cheap little plastic tabs that fall off when you clear the paper jams...then nothing will print. It is fussy on what type of paper to use and over-loads ink. SO...I have been considering getting the smaller and more simple-looking HP PS6525 but after reading some of the reports from recent purchasers, I don't think I want one of those either! Who makes a printer these days that is not composed of cheap, noisy plastic workings!!?

Although this printer prints rapidly and, I think, relatively quietly, it does not do a good job at all. I consistently see vertical lines running through photos, even when all cartridges are fresh. The cartridges run out of ink unbelievably fast, and this seems like a total scam to me. My next printer will NOT be an HP, for sure.

I liked it initially. Easy to set up and the wireless was also easy to set up. But...the ink is expensive and it totally died in less than a year. It just quit. It is making me rethink whether I want another HP - this is the third one I have had that died in less than two years, thereby not making HP a good value at all.

My older HP C310 started to act up so I purchased this unit as a replacement from Costco (#6525). Has most of the same features but holds less paper. It prints as fast as my C310 and with excellent quality. I was concerned that this printer used 4 inks and not 5 like my C310 so the photos would not be as good. However, I compared the same print from both printers and they look identical. Easy set up on my 2012 Mac and 3 Window PC's. Some hints: If when scanning a colored document from the printer you see that your scanned copy is B&W, you need to go into the printer utilities on your PC, click on scanning and edit and set scanning to color. By default it sets it to gray scale. Also when scanning photos (Jpeg) you can change that as well so that when you scan multiple photos at once (and want them on one page) and you do not want multiple image files in your pictures directory (this is explained on the HP support site). Also, I set up the eFax program. You need to follow the enclosed eFax sheet to set up correctly. Go to your printer utilities and find the eFax icon. Click this on to go online to setup your account. Be sure you have already set up your eprint account at HP first. The eFax site will provide you a unique fax telephone number and pin for you to use. It works really well. This is a free service (limit 20 faxes per month). Do not try to sign up for eFax plus because this will cost you. The 6520 (or 6525 from Costco) is not as robust as the C310 (materials thinner) but functions the same so I'm happy. If later I have any durability issues I will report back.

The ink for this printer is a TOTAL AND COMPLETE SCAM. It is beyond expensive. It virtually evaporates. The new XL cartridges keep getting smaller and smaller. What a load of BS. What this means is that you will run out of ink almost on a yearly basis if not much faster, and at 80 for all the inks it's robbery. HP also spends a lot of R&D in preventing their cartridges from getting re-filled.

THE BEST PART? Their own cartridges don't always work. My black ink just stopped working all together. Their solution? buy a new printer! And it's ridiculous because it's OBVIOUSLY a software issue - it was printing fine and i didn't let the heads dry out. It worked fine until i bought their overpriced XL ink. Oh and their set up cartridges are good for like.. 50 pages max.

I've done SOOOOO much research and i thought i had a good one with this printer. NO GO.

I'm done with HP. DO NOT BUY HP

I'll see if there are other companies that still use cartridges that can be refilled. Ink is SOOOOOO cheap that way - and it looks EXACTLY the same. I just want to print my documents why do they make it so hard.

Purchased this believing HP had a good reputation. From the first time I turned it on, I received the error that the copy and scanning component was broken. I was able to get the wireless set up but the printer itself seems flimsy and not well made. This printer is so annoyingly noisey that it grates on my nerves and sounds like the components aren't working right. I was able to print about 12 photos and then it just stopped working right. I have tried the last two days to get it to print again. One out of 10 tries of pulling out the photo paper tray and pushing it in, repeatedly, it will print one photo, then do the same thing and then listening to that one photo print is enough to make me want to throw this thing in the street and pay a Mac truck to run over it. Again, this printer is so flimsy that even if I could get everything to work right, it probably won't last more than a couple months. Also, after about 12 photos, the ink levels are half gone already. Don't waste your money. I'm returning and going to try a different brand. HP -- time to shape up.

This is my fifth and last HP printer. I bought this printer 2 months ago and it has already gone to printer heaven. I ran out of the setup cartridges ink and put in new cartridges and the printer went to hell before I used up the ink in them. The magenta cartridge had white horizontal stripes in the printout when cleaning the print head and the pictures had vertical stripes in them. I thought it was the cartridge so I bought a new HP cartridge and it did the same thing. I've run the print head clean cycle about 50 times and all I've done is used up the ink in the other cartridges. They say when this fails you should clean the print head in hot water. In the 6525, the print head is not removable. I'm taking the whole printer into the shower with me and if that doesn't work, I'll see if it cleans the print head sitting on the bottom of the lake for a week or two......
