This is by far the worst printer I have ever owned. I've had it for half a year and I can't even get anything to print out of it anymore.

This printer was like a high maintenance girlfriend. Every time you wanted something out of it you had to plead with it, coax it, massage it, mess with the cartridges, print test pages, align the cartridges, clean the cartridges, print more test pages, fix the wifi, waste half of your ink cleaning the cartridges more, and then if you were lucky you'd get a clean print out of it after you used about 30 pages of paper.

Do yourself a favor and do not buy this printer. It's terrible. I have worked in IT for 15 years and I have never seen anything like this. The only reason why I don't feel bad about giving it 1 star is because the scanner works.

We bought this at one of the box stores. We are on our fourth printer and now this one is dying. All of this in just over a year. The first one just stopped printing, even with new cartridges. This was after printing 3 small pictures HP sent us a new one. Same thing happened on the second one. the third one just stopped powering up and HP sent us yet another one. Now this one just shuts off for no reason. Unplugging it for a few hours will usually get it to fire up again but it will shut off randomly. It is a shame as it really is very user friendly and the easiest printer I have ever owned to print pictures on. This will probably be my last H.P. Printer.

Great quality printing, even on photos - but it goes through ink like you wouldn't believe. Can't even go through a ream (500 pages) without replacing the cartridges. Ink jets are like drug dealers with ink: the first ones are free.

I have always bought HP printers and liked the features of this one (wireless, double-sided printing, and printing from an ipad). This printer worked well at first but then the problems started. It began printing 2 copies instead of 1, and I installed the HP patch. Then, the colors on photos, etc. were way off when printed, in spite of the cartridges being new. Finally, the color black wouldn't print at all, and it wouldn't go into alignment mode. Oh, and did I mention that it has always consumed ink at an unprecedented rate! None of my trouble-shooting resolved these issues, and I'm going out today to buy an Epson XP-410, which has pretty good reviews

You know that scene in Office Space where the guys take the printer out in a field and beat the microchips out of it with a baseball bat? I fantasize about that anytime I need to print, scan, or fax anything. Most of the time it simply doesn't respond, if it does start a print job it'll get about 90% done and then ruin it at the end. Somewhere there's an ex HP designer laughing his ass off at the poor schmucks he stuck with this POS!

The worst and most wasteful printer I have ever owned. A month ago, I put in new color cartridges and decided to keep track of how many color prints I got out of them. Four!!! Even though I print ALL black and white documents with the special "black ink only" setting, this printer must suck colored ink out of the cartridges during the warm-up cycle. Do not, do not, do not purchase this printer.

I bought this printer so I could print from my iPhone and iPad. I wish I could invent a time machine and go back and prevent myself from buying it! First, the unit wobbles on my desk. I had to fold a business card and shove it under one side. It goes through ink like drunken sailor goes through booze! If I want to print a 4x6 photo it takes 10-12 attempts to get it to print, usually it won't accept the photo paper (the paper that came with the printer). Every time I try to print the unit reboots and I have to wait for it to cycle through all its crap before I can attempt another print. Each time I try to print, I spend 20 minutes per page trying to coax it into printing. Half the time I print, it just prints horizontal lines. I've had this junk for years.

I will never buy another HP printer as long as I live!

Since the day I started using this printer it has been nothing but problems. I have had to get parts replaced on it, and it still wont work. I spend hours talking to the HP help center to never get anywhere with it. I get about 10 pages to print per XL black cartridge because it prints so many unusable pages before it can produce one good one. If I want it to print picture paper is have to mess with the number of pages till it is perfect before it will take one. When trying to print from my computer I get an error multiple times before the printer allows the file to go threw. Basically you don't want this printer, unless you need something to smash after you have lost your temper go with something else.
