This laptop arrived with an inoperable optical drive and a slow response time. The battery compartment gets blazingly hot when on a charger as does the entire system when in use. Definitely would use a cooling pad if you have this laptop as the overheating tends to shut down the system. The system for the money is good though - if you're not looking for top performance or high performance at that. It's a good system to browse the internet with provided you aren't browsing for more than a couple hours at a time.

I would NOT recommend this laptop if you get annoyed with PC issues easily. At least not from the Micro Corp people as they don't know what they're doing with this particular laptop when they refurbished it.
