I received the correct Q5949X cartridge.
My calculations for cost per page is only 2 cents per page, which is contrary to another reviewer's claim of 12 cents per page.
$120.00 divided by 6000 pages equals 2 cents per page.

Despite the nice photo, what I received was an "HP-Compatible" cartridge, not an actual cartridge manufactured by HP.

With my previous instance of this cartridge, i was able to get about 4500 pages. Sometimes our household prints stuff that is more dense than a typical text-only business letter [which is what HP uses to calculate per-page toner usage -- I know, I used to work there]. Still at $112.00 / 4500, that's under 2.5c per page. --ALSO-- note that once the printer begins to warn of low toner [by lighting the amber supply indicator-lamp on the front panel] you can typically print many dozens of further pages before the toner really blanks out and goes soft in the middle of the page. A very old trick when you start to see physical evidence [on the page] of low toner, is to remove the cartridge, carefully rock it left to right [while holding the ends] and then re-install. When this finally fails to remove the lightness in the middle of pages, it is time to replace it. Low toner won't harm the printer [it's like printing a mostly blank page, for example]. Sometimes in this state, the printer will refuse to print and flash the amber warning light -- press the green "GO" button to force it to print. You can save a few bucks if you follow this advice...

I am now on my second Q5949X. I was able to get the 6000 pages claimed. This is the most economic(cost per page) cartridge you can buy for this type of printer. About two cents per page.

I have only used genuine HP toner cartidges in my current printer. HP toner cartridges are totally trouble-free. You may pay a little more, but it is worth it.

This cartridge arrived right away. It worked well in my HP LaserJet1320 immediately after easily inserting it into the printer and has kept producing good printouts since. It works as well as an HP toner cartridge.

I had puchased "bargain" toner before and it was awful and not at all compatible. This was a dream and so much less expensive! I will order again.

This site DOES have toner that fits the HP1160, but this is not it. Don't be fooled, the HP1160 won't accept a cartridge that prints 6000 pages. Look for the 49A toner for 2500 pages.

Great toner cartridges for an excellent line of printers. You'll get the 6000 printed pages, as advertised. I've used lots and lots of these toner cartridges and none have (1) run out of toner early or (2) leaked.

The 6000-pagers are well-worth the extra bucks relative to the 2000-page edition.

Good value for this routine cartridge replacement. Wasn't until I bought this item that I discovered that there are 3 kinds of cartridge: compatible (cheap, but breaks printers from my experience), regular (low page count, the one that comes with the printer), and "best buy" (more than twice the page count, but not nearly twice the price as regular).
