5.0 out of 5 stars Good Mouse!
This is a good mouse! It is great for right and left-handed people! The wireless function is amazing! The only thing I do not like about this mouse is that the USB reciever doesn't fit inside the mouse for storage. However, this mouse is as large as a PC mouse! A very good purchase indeed!

3.0 out of 5 stars HP Wireless Comfort Mouse
I have a second-hand HP Wireless Comfort Mouse. Positives: design is relatively comfortable- people with smaller hands might find it a bit bulky though, wireless reception works well, inclusion of scrolling and forward/back keys is nice. 3.0 out of 5 stars HP Wireless Comfort Mouse, July 4, 2010

I have a second-hand HP Wireless Comfort Mouse. Positives: design is relatively comfortable- people with smaller hands might find it a bit bulky though, wireless reception works well, inclusion of scrolling and forward/back keys is nice. Negatives: tracking doesn't function well on all surfaces, mouse is rather heavy, and mine broke within a few weeks and would not power up or recognize the computer even when reset or when I put in new batteries (b/c it was used, this may reflect more on who I got it from than on the mouse)

Would not recommend this mouse unless you are getting an incredible deal- there are better wireless mice out there than this one.

3.0 out of 5 stars Sadly not strong enough!, June 25, 2010

Comfortable design, great desktop size, awesome buttons and scroll. Unfortunately the signal is pretty weak. Two problems I have with this mouse are,

1. Signal isn't even strong enough to go through very thin metal and 2. Signal completely begins to fail once you insert any usb device like an iPod and slowly recovers., I would suggest looking for another mouse. I really hope HP comes out with a newer more powerful version of this mouse.

2.0 out of 5 stars Bad Receiver reception!, June 15, 2010

I bought this mouse to go along with the HP elite keyboard that I purchased, While the elite keyboard is awesome this mouse is not worth the money. First of all it is not interoperable with the receiver(so you have to use up valuable usb ports). Second of all, is that unless the usb receiver is literally smack in front of it, it will be sluggish and unresponsive. I had originally put the receiver on one of the back usb ports, and the reception was so poor that I had to put the receiver on one of the two front usb ports. I will probably eventually replace this mouse something better.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good mouse ... not great, May 11, 2010

I was hoping to purchase a comfortably arched (but not HUGE) wireless mouse with a few extra 'feature' buttons and 'grippy' rubberized sides. While the HP Wireless Comfort mouse appeared to fit the bill, and is not a bad mouse, it does have a few flaws in my usage that make it less than ideal.

(1) Scratches and smudges easily. I know it's only a mouse, but depending upon your workspace illumination, it will just look beat up after the first few weeks. Mine is already covered in smudges and light scratches after fairly minimal usage.

(2) USB receiver appears weak. Not 100% certain of this since I haven't tested in multiple machines. However all signs point to the receiver in this mouse being weak, and unable to penetrate metal desks and/or keyboard trays.

(3) Would be nice if it could be paired with the USB receivers of newer HP wireless keyboards. This is really not a failing of the mouse, just an annoyance to those with few USB ports. If you'd just assumed that the HP line of wireless devices had some measure of interoperability, think again...

I'm giving 3 stars since this is simply an average product, and 4 and 5 stars are reserved for exceptional quality.

UPDATE: The USB receiver is weak. Insert any USB device or cable next to it and watch the signal to your mouse begin to fail. I tried an iPod cable, USB keyboard dongle, USB thumb drive... All seemed to block the signal to some extent. Moved the mouse receiver to a new USB port and performed the test again by inserting other USB devices next to it. Same result. So, you may want to purchase a USB extension cable (or extension base) to get this mouse receiver FAR away from other devices. I used an old D-Link USB extender from my Wifi dongle and it solved the problem. However, this product will probably do the same job (StarTech 5 ft. Desktop USB Extension Cable Model USBEXTAA5DSK )

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice size, works great, December 30, 2009

Nice comfortable design, and programmable to most used functions. My only complaint is that the usb cannot be stored in the mouse to keep the 2 pieces together when not in use. Shipped quickly and in sufficent packaging to prevent damage.

2.0 out of 5 stars Specs Incorrect, April 6, 2010

This is a 1000 dpi optical mouse, not a 1200 dpi laser mouse. I see it's still not fixed in the specs above.

2.0 out of 5 stars Just okay., July 27, 2009

The mouse is adequate, but not great. Here's why:

- The connection to the dongle/computer is good, no problems.

- The mouse itself is bit small for my hand and I am an average sized woman (with average hands).

- It is difficult to arrange your hand so you can easily access the scroll wheel and the "back" button on the left side simultaneously - I have to shift my hand to scroll therough a webpage and "go back" to the previous page. Doesn't sound like a big deal, but if you spend more than five minutes online it can get frustrating.

I might just go buy a new mouse.
