If I could do it over...,
This review is from: HP Wireless Elite Keyboard and Mouse (Personal Computers)
After using this product for several days I have grown to love the keyboard. The keys are spaced perfectly, it has just the right amount of feedback, and is nearly silent.
I was looking for simplicity( I have never really used shortcut keys) and volume controls, are all I really need. It does have programmable F-keys that can be used as media controls, eject, and monitor brightness. I find typing more comforatable on a flat surface as opposed to raised up on a wristpad. Keyboard 5/5. On the other "hand" the mouse is terrible. It is a decent size, comfortable in your hand and glides along a pad or desk smoothly. The scroll wheel is very smooth as well, BUT I have never used a mouse that required so much effort to click. It literally needs to be pressed so hard that everytime I right click, my right arm moves up and to the right, causing the mouse pointer to move off my target frequently. If I could do it over I would purchase the keyboard by itself http://www.amazon.com/Hewlett-Packard-FQ480AA-Wireless-Elite-Keyboard/dp/B001IOHAVO/ref=sr_1_36?ie=UTF8&s=pc&qid=1245364930&sr=1-36 and use the savings on another mouse. It is about 25 dollars cheaper for just the keboard here on amazon. Check out my pictures, this thing looks great on a desk. 4/5

Works with Linux,

I haven't had this product very long, but I wanted to let potential buyers know that it *does* work with Linux. I'm running Ubuntu 8.10 and I just plugged it in and it worked. The USB subsystem recognized it immediately and I was using it within a couple minutes of taking it out of the box.
The keyboard itself and the mouse are quite nice. I have no complaints. That said, this keyboard is probably not for everybody. If you use a keyboard for a living, like I do, you tend to be very particular about what you like and don't. For me, this works. Others - particularly those who don't like laptop keyboards or flat (almost no contour), low-profile keys - may not care for it. The mouse is perfect in its simplicity and has a nice heavy feel to it. One very small annoyance: if you use the front USB slot on your computer - or any slot where the USB portion of the device is in view - the light may bother you. It's very bright and very blue - and it's on whenever you type or move the mouse. Thus, depending on what you're doing, it can be effectively blinking and quite distracting.

I love the thinness of the keyboard! And it's a really great product for being so cheap. I have two gripes with this product: a) The USB key turns a bright blue color when you are using this. If you have the USB key anywhere near your peripheral vision, this is a big distraction. I would love to turn it off but I haven't found out how to do that yet. b) The mouse clicking is LOUD.
