this printer is out of this world,so is the cartridges
the ink cartridge is the best you can buy for the printer. I am impressed with HP.

pre-programmed self-destruct
HP puts a self-destruct chip in their cartridges which prevents their use after a specified period whether they have ink or not. If one of the color cartridges has "expired" the printer stops working, even if only black ink is needed. HP has created a money machine. You are forced to keep paying whether you print or not!

Packaging doesn't match picture,

This ink jet cartridge arrived in the old style packaging not matching the picture and thus suggesting that the vendor is selling new old stock. It cannot be returned successfully because the fine print says that this is sold by an outside vendor so I'm out the price I paid on this ink jet cartridge - so much for saving money on Amazon.
