I did a lot of research leading up to purchasing this kite. I was trying to find an balance between ease of use for a beginner, price, and it to still be viable as I progress in expertise. Overall I am very happy with this purchase, it does take some frustrating practice just to get it up in the air and keep it there. After a few times out I have a much better idea and can set the kite up and launch it by myself. I really like the break lines as long as u remember their there (one time I got caught in a gust and completely forgot to break and was launched a good 100 ft). I'm 155 lbs and I've been able to air out in approx 15 mph winds. I'm not proficient enough that I feel comfortable to use it with my mountain board. I do plan to use it this winter with a snow tube and hopefully my snowboard. Unfortunately this kite is not made for use over water, though I`ve come to realize its common for people to have more than one kite and I do recommend this one to be one of them.
