This review is from: HQRP Battery for Garmin Nuvi 800 / 850 / 860 / 860T / 880 / 010-10987-03 GPS Replacement plus HQRP Universal Screen Protector (Electronics)
Not happy with the battery or the screen protector. Battery is unreliable and has very limited charge ability. Screen protector was wrong size. Not worth my time to try to get a correction.

Purchased this HQRP battery and it quickly began loosing its charge after about 3 weeks. The screen protector did not even fit my device. Not worth the money or hassle.

When I put the battery in my Nuvi 855, the Nuvi just kept on rebooting in a loop. Then I put my original battery back in and everything was fine. Then I took out the battery and powered up the Nuvi using usb cable alone. Then I inserted this battery in. In about 5 seconds, the Nuvi displayed this message: "Invalid battery. Unit shutting down in: 8". Then the Nuvi counted down to zero and shut off.The previous reviewer complained on the poor performance of the battery. But mine simply did not work. There might have been different versions of Nuvi. Some, including mine, apparently have circuitry capable of checking if the battery is a genuine Garmin battery or not. Thank goodness for Amazon's no hassle return policy. |
