I love the Dyson DC16 vacuum except for one thing- the frustration of having it stop working before I am done using it. The original battery that comes with it lasts only 5 minutes (when new) and after a few months of use the run time drops to less than 2-3 minutes. Great vacuum but the folks at Dyson dont seem to have a clue about batteries. This HQRP battery provides 1500mAh, which is much more than the battery that comes with the Dyson. Furthermore, it is cheaper than a standard (and highly overpriced) Dyson replacement. It works great, and I now have a run time of about 9 minutes. I am sure this will decrease over time, but for now, it makes the vacuum actually useful. Another reviewer noted that the battery did not fit well. Mine fit perfectly. Perhaps they updated the battery to make it fit better.

If I had this all to do over, I would not buy a DC16 or any other Dyson product that uses batteries. But having bought one, this battery almost makes me forget about the stupidity of my original purchase.

This battery comes with an HQRP coaster, which is about the ugliest coaster I have ever seen. You can astonish guests with your poor taste by using it. The coaster works quite well and is very large so one can use it for large drinks or a tea pot.

The power seems to last even longer than the original battery that came with the vac- perhaps because technology has advanced in a few years, or... who knows? The only downside (so far; I've only had it for a couple months) is that it doesn't fit as tightly, snug, well, or "completely" as the original. So far that hasn't been a problem, but I worry that down the road - if it shifts in the way it sits - it won't fit in the charger, hanging on the wall, like it does now.

It's early so I can't comment on the life of the battery but it has good power and is priced significantly lower than the replacement from Dyson. It also fits perfectly, contrary to some earlier reviews.

Product arrived as described and seems to be much better than the original battery - ordered this one since it is supposed to last longer and that is does.

This battery fits the small Dyson hand-held vacuum cleaner with no problems, and the cost is much less than buying a replacement battery from Dyson. It was shipped promptly and after an overnight in the charger works perfectly.

I was a little hesitant buying this because it's not from Dyson, but after reading a few reviews I decided to take the plunge. And I am so glad that I did! I think this battery works better than the one that actually came with our Dyson handheld and it's much cheaper too! We've had it for over a month and the charge lasts at least 9 minutes and fits great in the holder. Great buy!!! Will definitely buy again!

Battery worked great for 8 months and then died. Warranty was only 90 days so recycled and bought a VRQ with a one year warranty.

This HQRP 1500mah battery actually makes the Dyson DC16 a pleasure to own. I have always hated the limited run times that this vacuum provided. After purchasing this replacement battery, both myself and my family love the Dyson once again. This battery easily surpasses the original.

This battery has much more power and a longer life than the original ever had. It is a really good buy.

I have baught this battery last november 2010 and already today in August 2011 it is dead, which make the battery life less than a year!

When the original one from Dyson has last us over two years.

We were very disapointed by this product.
