Fast delivery and great customer service. I was surprised to receive a very suitable upgrade and very nice message from the company stating reason for upgrade and their interest in my utmost satisfaction. Product works great! I was very happy with the price as well. Correspondence written by company representatives (grammar) is indicative the company location is not in US. However, messages are very well written with very friendly tone that make customer service top notch. Company includes much appreciated discount for future customer order(s). Even without receiving a discount, I would return to use their services and products again and again! Best online company I've used so far. Thank you Osprey-talon =)

I was impressed with the company's stance on product satisfaction and their statements that their adapters are top-notch. Product was delivered promptly and appears as advertised. I'd rate the company a "5" !!!

I purchased this as a replacement adapter for my Grandson's laptop, which we bought used. The adapter that came with it had a repair on the low-voltage side, so I thought it best to replace the whole thing.

At first I thought the product was defective because it didn't charge, but the old charger worked. However, once the battery had a little charge, then I was able to charge it up with this product. So, it is probably not exactly electrically similar to Dell's charger, but if your battery is less old it might work very well. Since I have no issues with the function of the OEM charger and this one is a bit more temperamental, I'd have to rate the product a "3".

Here's my original review...

I've intentionally waited a few months before writing a review on this product. To this date though, the unit has worked flawlessly. It does get warm, but I haven't noticed it getting any warmer than my factory Dell one did. Bottom line is that I received the item quickly, it works as advertised, and it wasn't a lot of money.

Six months later(about 9 months of ownership)

The adapter died. Unlike my Dell adapter that I could jiggle back to life for a little while, this one just completely died. It happened just before New Year's Day, so finding a replacement quickly was a problem.

This item is working quite well and it doesn't seem to get as hot as the one it replaced and that's definitely a lot less worry.

not the best, no major problem yet. the power box on the cord get pretty hot to the touch. we will see how long this last....to be continued.

The unit appears lighter than the Dell provided adapter which came with my laptop and the unit itself does heat up a bit. But after a year now of continual use, it's still working.

Also, I do think the L-shaped plug which goes into the back of the computer will help both the life of the adapter (that's where the problem developed in my Dell adapter) and also prevent any problems from developing at the connection inside the laptop (another common problem from what I've read).

After about a year, the rectangular box began to split apart/separate. I wrapped some black electrical tape around it to keep it together and it's still functioning just fine. Again, given how much cheaper this was than the Dell official product, I don't view this as a big deal at all and would certainly recommend.

UPDATE: In April 2011, 18 months after purchase, this stopped working. So, take that for what it's worth. I purchased a similar cheap unit as a replacement.
