I have the Eee PC 900 series and this power adapter matches the electronic specifications of the original adapter for my laptop. As the other reviews stated, the previous power adapter began to wear and the wires were not making proper contact due to coiling the adapter's cables at least twice a day. The male plug on the adapter cable that plugs into the laptop extends out of the plug approximately 3mm and, like other reviews, has a tendency to to "unplug" itself. This is due to the plug's exterior circumference being larger than the original adapter. This is not to say that the cable falls out on its own, but if you were to move from desk to couch, expect to have to plug it back in. The adapter's brick does not have an LED on it which is fine, and does not get too hot or humm loudly like some power adapters might. Of course the cable length is sufficient though bordering on being too long. Overall, the product is a $20 dollar cheaper replacement buy that performs the same functionality as the original adapter. If you have the Eee PC and you need a replacement, grab one of these, they do just fine.

As other reviewers describe, the jack doesn't quite fit the Asus Eee PC 1000A. Initially it's only a little bit of an annoyance. But over time, the friction deteriorates and it becomes almost necessary to physically hold it in place at all times. Even without moving the laptop it may fall out. And forget about moving the machine even an inch without holding on to the charger cable.

As if that weren't enough, the outlet prongs aren't quite right either, and it tends to fall out of the wall outlet. Additionally the casing on the transformer fell apart and now is held together with electrical tape.

This product is cheap, but I'm still not sure I got the value I paid for.

Lastly, could be a coincidence, but after a few months, my battery went from 3 hour charge to about 20 minute charge.

2 stars instead of 1, because it actually does charge the battery, despite being the bane of my existence in the process.

Adapter is better than the original equipment. The cord is longer and actually seems to fit the EEE 901 slot better. The original power adapter made the battery/AC indicator flash back and forth (wouldn't stay on AC or battery) and I didn't think that was very good for the laptop.

I have bought two of these. The first one stopped consistently working after a few months or so. It worked great at first so I figured there must have been a minor error, like there is with random electronics sometimes. I bought a second one and the same issue occurred again...Now I am looking to buy a third replacement, but not from this company!

I have Asus 904HA. This is my 4th replacement cord for the netbook. They all start overheating or won't make good contact. This one did both. It started being really really hot not long after I received it. At 5 months it won't make good contact with the netbook and has to be wiggled just right in order to power the netbook. Thank goodness there is a warranty. I'm returning it.

I got one of these 14 months ago because I lost my original charger. It worked fine for the past 14 months until one morning, it just doesn't work anymore. I look at the warranty, and it's for 200 days only. So I bought another one today and I hope it lasts as long as the first one.

The original cord for my 900 series ASUS eee PC was both too short and too delicate. It got severed when it was pinched in my recliner, something that has happened to many power cords over the years but has never actually broken one! When I went to replace it, I saw this one priced about $20 less than the name brand, which was more than enough to make me bite.

This new cord is more sturdy, longer, and isn't such a chore to fit in the machine. The original had an "el" shaped head that was often difficult to remove and insert into the slot. This one is straight and slides right in, but doesn't feel loose, so I don't worry that it will become too loose in the slot any time soon.

This cable works fine while it lasts, but it's life span is a bit disappointing. It only lasted me about seven months, and now I'm having to get a new one.

This product worked for about the first 30 days, if I held it in place while it charged my eeePC. Now it works intermittently, if I hold it in place while it charges and then only if I rotate it just so.

This is an absolute piece of crap, don't buy it.

I had some concerns about this adapter/power cord after reading a couple of reviews indicating that it ran hot or wouldn't work. The power brick was a little warm during the initial charge of my (nearly completely dischaged) netbook battery, but since then it has run cool and worked fine. I only wish the vendor offered this in the color white to match my netbook.
