I bought this replacement charger on May 13th and it just died today. I use my laptop pretty heavily but that shouldn't be a reason why this AC adapter failed to work over a month.

When it was new, it worked OK, but the power brick would become VERY hot. After a week it would mostly work, except the power would randomly cut in and out intermittently. After 3 weeks it stopped working entirely.

I ordered this cable about a month ago, it worked perfectly until today when the adapter cut out and started smoking.

I had the unit for five month before it shorted out. Amazon should remove this item. Do not buy.

This power supply works just like the original one that came with the laptop. I've been dragging it around and it takes abuse, seems really well made and sturdy. They didn't cut corners with this one.

This unit seems to have had a meltdown... The power supply case melted and almost caught fire.

Don't leave it plugged in unattended. Actually, don't even plug it in. It's not worth it at half this price.

Ordered this item because it was one of the lower cost options. However when the item was received and plugged in it did not work. So either it was DOA)dead on arrival) or it broke the second it was plugged into the computer. I ordered a charger from Lenovo directly and there were no problems at all so it was not the computer but clearly the charger. I would strongly advise not purchasing this product.

When I first got this product it worked for my Lenovo ThinkPad laptop. However, for the last several months it has worked intermittently. Sometimes it charges, sometimes it doesn't. I plug it in and nothing happens. I can't rely on it. With hindsight, I think it's better to buy a more expensive (perhaps manufacturer provided) model that will actually work.

I ordered it next day because I needed a power cord for my IBM Thinkpad. The product was here by 10am and works great. The longer cord is a big plus too.
