The charger has either a ac plug or a car lighter charger attachment. The AC plug housing has a bright red light that shows you when you have power going to the unit. The unit has a light to show you when the battery is charging and when it is fully charged. These are both great features. I hate to wonder if things are working!
The part of the charger where you put the battery is a tight fit, but wont fall out if jostled. You can tell easily when you have the battery in right because the charging light wont go on until it's well seated. Within 4 hours, my battery was fully charged, which seemed fast to me.

I bought this for my FinePiz Z20fd because we lost our original battery charger. This one works just as well as the original and is a great deal.

This charger would not accomodate the battery for my mother's Fuji Finepix Z20fd camera. What a disappointment but hey the good news is she found her original charger after this one was returned! The return process with Amazon was easy. We're just waiting for the refund to post.
