The power supply was exactly the same as the OEM (except for the 6-foot-long electrical cord vs. a 3-foot original), worked perfectly, and arrived before my Amazon books and videos ordered at the same time.

The wires on the original adaptor to my computer had a short. I purchased this adaptor as a replacement. It seems a little light in weight (according to the computer guy who recently worked on my computer), but it has worked just fine so far. I moved to Italy & it works with the voltage over here too.

it is a great buy i like it better than the two i purchaces for a lot more at dell. great product works great

Dell swears you will ruin your computer if you buy non-Dell accessories for it. NOT TRUE! The adaptor works great and was a tenth the price.

I bought this for my wife for Christmas. Out of the box, seemed great. Much longer cord than stock power supply. The coaster, although odd to be included with the power supply, was neat and looked good on her desk.

Now, the issue: Plugged it in, worked great! For an hour. Then nothing. The light stayed on, but the laptop would not charge. Tried many different methods to get it to work with nothig working.

Don't buy, your money can be spent elsewhere on something that will work. The only positive point of this review is Amazon's amazing return policy. Thanks Amazon!

I'm a little surprised at all the glowing reviews. I've been living with this piece of junk for a year now, and I'm finally annoyed enough to log on just to warn others away from it. The problem I'm having is that... after about a month or so, the charger stopped charging the battery. It still powers my laptop, but only when I'm plugged into the wall. I finally got another charger to make sure it's not just my laptop battery... sure enough, the new, Dell charger works just fine. Dell does charge a ridiculous amount... but apparently you get what you pay for. I wonder if all the good reviews were written during the first month of owning it. Things were peachy keen for me for that first month.

I have an Inspiron 600m, btw.

GREAT PRODUCT! I have a Dell XPS M1210 laptop - I'm on my 3rd battery! This power cord charged all THREE my batteries and eleminated the error code from the original Dell power cord of "power cord not recognized" - pretty bad when Dells own products don't recognize each other. So this product worked without a hitch and now I have THREE laptop batters that all charge and all work. KUDOS!

Product looks a little different than the one that came with my Dell XPS M1210 - but works flawlessly. I am on my third battery and have seen a host of complaints on the Dell website about shortened battery life. Then - I started getting the errors that the original Dell power supply/charger was not recognized. This new power supply/charger not only eliminated that error message, but charged the brand new (NOT Dell) battery I just bought - AND charged the two Dell batteries I had purchased and for some reason decided to save. It does a wonderful job and is the same wattage as the OEM power supply/charger of 65w - I've read some complaints that the original power supply/charger was 90w but that is not the case at all. This works great for my Dell XPS M1210 and I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase and this vendor HQRP. So now I have THREE working batteries and a great power supply/charger.

My original power adapter died for my Dell Inspiron 700m, and I was a little bit skeptical about using a third party adapter, but I figure I give it a shot. I've had this adapter for three weeks, and I must say it has worked just as well as the original adapter with the added bonus of having a longer cord. I keep my 700m plugged in most of the time now a days since the battery is old and cannot power the laptop for at most 15 minutes, and I've been happy with the adapter's performance.
