I've had my Dell Inspiron E1505 for just over two years, and this is the third power cord I've had to get for it.
I bought this a few weeks ago when I finally accepted the fact my last one was dead. I ordered this is and it showed up a week earlier than expected! Just in time for vacation, Thank gosh I didn't have to bring my Acer Aspire One. It works great! Fits into my computer perfectly, I definitely recommend this cord to anyone with a dell 1505.

Dell Inspiron 6400 problem,

This review is from: HQRP 65W Heavy-Duty AC Adapter for Dell Inspiron 8600 E1505 6000 6400 700M Laptop / Notebook Charger / Power Supply + Power Cable + HQRP Mousepad (Personal Computers)
I'm on my third power adapter for my Dell Inspiron E1505, just over 2 years old. This adapter is less than a month old. After a couple of weeks, I started getting the Dell Power Adapter error message, saying it doesn't recognize the adapter, the battery will not charge, and so on. From posts on the Dell community forum, this problem is usually with the socket in the computer, not the power adapter, and using a Dell adapter may not solve the problem either. I can make mine charge by wiggling the connector but it's not easy and probably won't continue to work. The Dell forum says the soldering on the socket is not strong enough and the tiny wire inside the socket gets worn or bent. They recommend buying an external battery charger and charging the battery that way. You can continue to use the power adapter to run the computer on AC, but socket repairing can be expensive. The shop here wants to replace the entire motherboard, which includes the socket, for $250. No thanks. I'd rather put the money into a different brand of laptop.
I hope this helps someone else. It's frustrating, but my problem is with Dell, not the Osprey-Talon adapter. Ellis

Does not work for Inspiron 8600!,
This review is from: HQRP 65W Heavy-Duty AC Adapter for Dell Inspiron 8600 E1505 6000 6400 700M Laptop / Notebook Charger / Power Supply + Power Cable + HQRP Mousepad (Personal Computers)
When I started using this as a replacement adpapter for my Dell Inspiron 8600 after my original broke, I got a screen that said," AC POWER ADAPTER TYPE CANNOT BE DETERMINED. THIS WILL PREVENT OPTIMAL SYSTEM PERFORMANCE" The computer will start but the battery does not charge it just runs off ac power. My battery is drained so as soon as I unplug the adapter the computer shuts down. Also, the computer runs very slow now. Videos don't work, internet is slow, cursor is slow to react. I'm just going to buy a replacement from Dell like I should have done in the first place.
