Ribbon cable doesn't have a fold in it the original did. It inserts just fine, but does push up on the keyboard slightly.The worst thing about the process is getting the old keyboard out without scratching/denting the surrounding case, since the prying out the tabs from the metal case is tight.

I got this replacement keyboard because I had spilt water over my acer aspire one and fried the original keyboard. The keyboard was easy to replace. I watched a few youtube videos and it took less than 2 minutes to swap out the keyboards. Thank goodness for youtube and this product because now I don't need a new computer!

Worked great. Easy to isntall, and I am by far NOT a computer person. I found some easy instructive videos on uTube and did it myself in a few minutes. Saved me the money of buying a new computer. So glad I found it!
