It doesn't work at all. It wont charge my sony but when I went to the store the correct real cord did work so the product I got was defective.

I have a Sony DCR-SR40 and it came with a Handycam Station DCRA-C162. I misplaced the ac adapter and charger when I moved, and I have not been able to use my camera since. I ordered this, but was hesitant based off of the few not so good reviews, but decided to try anyway. My cam corder is charging as I type! Im pleased :)
