Handle gets cold because its metal, Butt cap does not stay tight on so the chipper could slice you up if your not careful, Spoon is almost 6" so make sure it fits in your hole before you buy it! But other then that... it's just your typical metal scooper just like one you have prob owned for many years.

This is a decent skimmer. Some may find the width of the handle to wide. I also use a 6 ince auger and this just fits in, so if you're using a smaller auger try a different skimmer. The ruler on the handle provides a decent estimate of ice thickness and fish length. The rubber slip at the end of the handle doesn't stay on well, but I took mine off and dipped it in some plasti-cote and it seems to work much better. Overall, a decent skimmer that is fairly rugged.
