5.0 out of 5 stars Very simple. Very sturdy.
The previous reviewer is correct - the handle in the photo looks like it would crank the stand higher and lower but it does not. It simply clamps the height wherever you're holding it. I had read his review before buying, otherwise I would have been surprised by this.

Look closely at it--it looks like the front handle adjusts the height. It doesn't--it only locks to a manually chosen height.

I put casters on it but the angle of the bottom isn't square with the floor, so I can't push it in a straight line.

If you use one height and position the stand in one spot it's probably a good deal, but that's not my...

That said, as long as you can hold the height steady with one hand and tighten the handle with the other, it's easy and very secure. Further, you only have the get the height roughly correct using this method, then tweak the height-modifying rubber feet to exact height and level specifications.

I mounted a heavy, maple workbench top on mine to match my existing Gladiator workbenches. I'm picky and wanted the height to exactly match my current setup and that was very easy to do.

This is a very heavy, simple, and solid piece of equipment for $89 and I highly recommend it.

The HTC HGP 12 Universal tool stand is just what I needed for my vise. It holds my vise with room to spare. I use the extra space for any additional tools I might need. The adjustable height is a bonus feature. My first HTC product was the HTC Bench Grinder Stand so I was aware of their high quality. Based on that, I didn't hesitate to order this one. It hasn't disappointed, just the opposite, it confirmed my opinion that if I ever need another stand, of any kind, I will definitely look for an HTC product ~ The Boss

I purchased this for my bench grinder. Not happy with it. It is not as sturdy as I would have guessed.
