4.0 out of 5 stars Works, not much more to say
They work just fine. It's nice to have a way to use normal headphones instead of the special mini-usb ones.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice adapter, no microphone
Great adapter. It has to be unplugged if you want to make a phone call.

When plugged in all of the sound is routed to the headphones, but since this adapter lacks a microphone. So the person who you are calling will not hear you.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice adapter, no microphone, March 26, 2008
This review is from: HTC 3.5mm Headset Stereo/Mono Adapter for ATT Tilt 8925 / TyTN II / 8525 TyTN / Spint Mogul PPC6800 / Verizon VX6800 (Wireless Phone Accessory)
Great adapter. It has to be unplugged if you want to make a phone call.

When plugged in all of the sound is routed to the headphones, but since this adapter lacks a microphone. So the person who you are calling will not hear you.

There is also a similar adapter for sale that has a microphone built in. And some which also have a power connector. For car use, I would recommend a splitter with audio and power. And an audio adapter with a built in microphone.

The wire near one end was stripped within a couple days of use and the adapter ceased to work within a week. I would not recommend this item.

Was initially very happy with it the first time I used it. (I use it watch videos on airplanes while travelling.) The second time, I had to wiggling it around to get it work. The third time, I couldn't get it to work at all.

This review is from: HTC 3.5mm Headset Stereo/Mono Adapter for ATT Tilt 8925 / TyTN II / 8525 TyTN / Spint Mogul PPC6800 / Verizon VX6800 (Wireless Phone Accessory)
It worked great while it lasted, but in less than a week it broke. The end broke off when I went to unplug it.

This review is from: HTC 3.5mm Headset Stereo/Mono Adapter for ATT Tilt 8925 / TyTN II / 8525 TyTN / Spint Mogul PPC6800 / Verizon VX6800 (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I specifically bought this item because I needed a straight connector, but when it arrived I noticed it had a 90 degrees angle connector on the HTC mini-usb side. Other than that it works just fine. Didn't return it as S&H would be more that a new one...

*** Update

After a few weeks it became mono (lost right). A week later the phone side connector started to fall apart. Another week and it is unusable.

Do not buy this. I've purchased a few things thru these random Amazon dealers and had pretty decent experiences. But this item broke the first day of use. It was fine on my communte in to work but I didn't even make it halfway back home before the case popped apart and the wires came out.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not Worth the Money, May 9, 2009
This review is from: HTC 3.5mm Headset Stereo/Mono Adapter for ATT Tilt 8925 / TyTN II / 8525 TyTN / Spint Mogul PPC6800 / Verizon VX6800 (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I purchased this product so I could use my HTC Touch Pro as an MP3 player to exercise with. The adapter is much smaller than the one HTC supplied, and it worked great for 1 workout. After the first workout, I unplugged it, and the USB plug assembly fell apart. Save your money, find something better. I would have given it NO stars if I could.
