Bought for my EVO and it works GREAT. It is a HTC brand battery. It came with no charge what so ever so I had to leave it charging for hours before it would even turn on the phone. I have been using it for 2 weeks and I am extremely happy...
UPDATE: 6 months later and still AWESOME. I think it is better than my original!

When I read the title its clearly stated that the battery was compatible with the HTC Hero GSM Version, but I'm not sure if they just sent me the wrong battery or if they actually think that the battery they sent me was right, WRONG, the battery was completely wrong. This battery is not for the HTC Hero GSM Version!!! The battery they sent me was for the CDMA Version of the HTC Hero. They should really get their information straight before even attempting to put a product up.

It does not fit the Hero GSM version, the battery is bigger than the battery compartment in the phone. I am not north american, I bought it during a trip and I lost my money because I can't return it anymore. Buyer beware.
