It works,

It's true, you won't get the little metal box that is pictured alongside the desiccant. What you will get is a coarse fabric bag with the desiccant beads and a box that it all goes in. The box is supposed to tell you when to go and dehydrate the desiccant.
Here's what I recommend: Throw the box away. Use the bag only because you can see the indicator beads through the coarseness of the fabric. Put it in your safe (or whatever) Purchase a cheap $6 hygrometer to also keep in your safe When the desiccant needs to be dehydrated, you will see pink beads. Pour the beads into a cookie pan. I think the instructions call for pretty high temps -- I, however, set the oven on 250 degrees, and find that within an hour or so all of the indicator beads are back to blue and ready to go. Anyone using a safe absolutely must have some sort of drying agent or you are asking for mold and deterioration. Fire safes, at the time of sell, contain a lot of moisture, and their instructions will tell you as much. I have a small safe. A single application of the product will get the humidity down to 20%. When the safe was brand new, I had to dehydrate the desiccant within a week. Then I went three weeks. Then I went two months. A year later, I find that I need to dehydrate the desiccant only about every three months or so (depending on how frequently I open the safe).

I am using the Silica in my gun safe in Florida. It went a little less than a month before needing to be rechareged. Seems to be keeping the safe dry.

This seems to work quite good but the product is not entirely as pictured.
The product is a gray cardboard box (pictured) with a cloth bag inside filled with silica pellets, the box has a hole on the front, rear, and 3 on the bottom for viewing the included quality indicator papers. The box and bag are very easy to open and the product works very well. There is no metal canister or tin. A+ Price A+ Shipping/Packing A+ Seller C- Product Information Would buy again!

Metal container not included!,

I put silica gel inside my camera bag to keep my cameras dry.
Note that you will not receive the metal container shown in the photo. It only comes with the 40g package. Also note that the "built-in indicator" is just a piece of paper. The silica gel can last for a very long time but probably not the indicator. I was actually looking for silica gel that is blue in color by itself, which turns pink when it's time to bake it. When I saw the words "built-in indicator" I thought that's what it meant. I'm going to order the ones I want somewhere else....

Absorb Moisture Like Crazy,

It works as advertised for use in a tight container. Humidity meter showed around 70% before use. It's down to 10% after I put this in the container.
It has the built-in the indicator to show its state, whether you'd need to bake the water out or not.

Good desicant gel, well packaged, with moisture indicator,

Has little windows (not the kind that are hard to see) that indicate when it has absorbed as much water as it will. Then you throw it in the oven and dry it back out. Nothing fancy, just desiccant, to help keep condensation from damaging the valuable items you have stored in tightly enclosed spaces. I bought the big box and I can't imagine needing a bigger one.

The picture is not accurate,

The picture is not accurate as others have stated. You only receive the box with a bag full of silica gel beads. Like others have said, I strongly recommend purchasing a hygrometer because it comes with the paper tester and will only last a single time. As well, the bag is not see thru and it will make monitoring the humidity levels much easier. Great size and value for the price.

Received silica gel but no holder,

The seller did a great job of sending large silica gel, but I did not receive the rectangular holder as indicated in the picture. To be fair, I have not contacted the seller and did not look at the original description of the product.
