Great tool for sighting in your pistols. I have three pistols with laser sights. This makes it easy to sight them in at specific distances. Line the laser up on the bullseye. Shoot three shots. With the rest, you should get a good group. Then with the laser set on the bullseye to start, you turn the set-screws up/down and left/right to walk the laser to your shot group. With out a good rest, this is almost impossible to do by your self, unless you want to do it a dozen times with trial and error.

I have used several kinds of rests before but this beats them all. If you are looking for rest to sight in your pistol especially with a scope or a red dot this is the way to do it. I just wish I would have had this years ago.
The company who sells this is wonderful to deal with. I highly rate them with a A+. Amazon was excellent to buy from.

This product is well built and makes it easy to sight in your handgun. It is less expensive than other machines with the same purpose. I would recommend it to anyone with an interest in making your handguns more accurate.

I have several pistols that I'm in the process outfitting them all with red-dot scopes (specific scopes for each pistol) and wanted a way to sight in each one. I was searching around the internet and came across the Parallax Sighting rest and liked what I saw and purchased it about a month ago.

When it arrived, I took it out to the gun range and used it to sight in 2 of my pistols. I worked perfect! I plan on using it for all of my pistols, and, will no doubt loan it out to others once they see how easy it is to sight in a scope--Great job Parallax!

Works as advertised. No problems. Order was taken expeditiously and order was deliverd promptly.

Wonderful product. I sighted 5 pistol using this rest and works great. But as the other reviewer says any pistol with a barrel length of lest than 4 inches would really be a challenge, here's how i do it with a glock 26 and S&W bodyguard.

First turn the rest backward so that the part that's holding the gun is the one closer to the target and the part that you use for rest is behind it.

Second. Lower the rest to as low as it would go.

Third. Now making sure that the vise part is way open and not going to be hit by the bullet shoot your group of 3 into the target

Fourth now that you have your group mount the pistol really tight on the vise still oriented the same way as when you shoot your group then begin to sight your laser.

There you go you have sighted your compact pistol using this device. I know its a little tricky but hey there is no other sighting rest out there that works this good so with a little patience you too can make this rest work

The idea behind the product is sound, part fit is poor. If you take your time and not get in a hurry it will work for you.
I have an XD-40 Sub-compact with Crimsom Trace lasergrips. Because of the looseness of the stand it took a long time to get it to sight in, then it is very hard to adjust your sights without moving the weapon. It does work but you have to be vary patient.
For the money I haven't seen anything better.

I purchased this rest after adding a new electronic red dot sight to a target pistol.

Assembly was extremely easy and intuitive.

I took the rest to the range and fired a five shot registration group using the rest. Then, following the directions, clamped my pistol in the rest, adjusted the sight FROM the 10 Ring TO the center of the registration group.

That was all it took. The POA and POI were now the same.

This is a much better approach than sequentially firing and adjusting.

If your registration group is not tight, for any reason, you might have to repeat the process.

In my case the initial firing produced a great 1/2" group, but about 3" high and 2" left of center.

After zeroing in with the rest my next group was dead on.

Love this product!

Quality product and easy to assemble. It fits all my pistols comfortably. Getting a new laser sighting system in and anxious to use this to center the pistol.

The rest seems to be solid and heavy enough to stay put while being used. It holds the firearm solidly and when adjusted properly it facilitates easy sighting in of the handgun. If one leaves the front cradle off it allows sighting in of the grip lasers by Crimson Trace.
