Good machine - not too heavy, seems to operate just fine on tile floors.

This machine uses the RMF-4 pads, NOT the MF-2 pads amazon is selling bundled with the vacuum.

The Haan SV 60 is a Great Machine! My problem is with Amazon - The specifications clearly state that there is only ONE microfiber pad included and that the "optional carpet tray can be purchased separately." ONE microfiber pad leaves the 200.00 steam vac USELESS!!!! I have purchased pads, but they don't fit at all.... I just grin and bear it because I love the steamer..... As for carpets, I can't use my SV 60 on my carpets because NO ONE, ANY WHERE, can help me find a carpet tray....... I should have researched and purchased one from another vendor that includes FOUR microfiber pads AND the carpet tray with agitator brush...... The 50.00 extra that I would have paid would have been MONEY WELL SPENT ...... you cannot put a price on the time and effort I have spent trying to PAY for PADS that FIT and the Carpet Tray...... Buyer Beware!!!! Somehow, be CERTAIN of the contents of the box.....

I ordered this product after reading all of the reviews, I knew the shortcomings but since I was aware of them before purchasing they did not bother me. The cord is a bit short and you can't get under cabinets very well. With the majority of my home being tile and hardwood I as ecstatic to be able to sweep and mop in one step. I know that I have to pay a bit of extra attention under my cabinets but it was worth it to me to do that! This product cleans wonderfully andam happy to have some of the hairspray build up off my tiled bathroom floor.

I'm a mother of four kids, with a husband and two dogs. We have a large kitchen, eating area and utility room that are tiled, an entry way that is tiled, and both bathrooms are tiled. I had been AGONIZING over wanting one of these. I looked at the Shark Steam Vac, the Bissel Steam Vac and the Haan. Some family and friends said the Shark was disappointing, but the best price I could find for the HAAN was online and refurbished - then I stumbled on it yesterday in a discount store. I was seriously giddy.

Tonight I cleaned my kitchen floors. Using the SV-60 wasn't bad. I have back problems (3 bad discs and arthritis in the SI joint - I take pain medicine daily) so I was concerned about people saying it was hard to push or hard on the back. I didn't find it any harder then vacuuming the living room. My back hurt less when I was done then it usually does after mopping. With four kids under 6 stuff gets on the floor around the dinner table - usually mopping includes scrubbing mystery food, shoe marks, crayon, etc. So far I like it.. plus it takes zero chemicals. The floors look amazing and feel really nice under my feet. I am going to do bathrooms tomorrow! The only thing is it doesn't get in corners and crevices because of the large size of the head, but I knew that going in. It also couldn't pick up stuff that was hardened to the floor .. there was a tiny, tiny piece of lettuce or something that it softened but I had to wipe it with a rag. Overall still much easier then sweeping and then mopping, and the floors feel MUCH cleaner and dry almost instantly. I can see where this isn't for everyone which is why I wanted to buy it locally for hassle free returns. I got this for half of retail and I definitely think it's worth that.

Summary:
Pros: Vacuum suction is strong, steam is 212 degrees, you can vacuum only, steam only or vacuum and steam at the same time, chemical free cleaning is kid/pet/earth friendly, it cleans, dries almost instantly, easier then sweeping and then mopping, construction feels sturdy, microfiber pads even feel well made.

Cons: Bulky head can't get into corners/crevices, vacuum is loud, directions say to change the pad after 10 minutes of cleaning, definitely needs more pads, pads are expensive, may be necessary to wipe grout and stuck on food up yourself.

I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. If they found a way or added a tool for getting into corners and under cabinets or small crevices PLUS gave you at least 5 pads to start I would call this a 5.

My husband and I purchased the Haan SV-60 Vacuum Steamer a couple of weeks or so ago. I love it! We ripped up all of our carpets a few years ago, mostly due to allergies. We have a combination of wood, tile and vinyl flooring throughout the house. We have two dogs and live on a dirt road, so dispite taking our shoes off at the door a lot of dirt gets tracked in anyway, and there is dog hair, of course. I find the machine does a better job of cleaning than I ever did with a vacuum and mop, and I only have to go over it once when I use the vacuum and steam feature at the same time. I do not find it needlessly hard to push either as some have claimed. I get the job done in less than half the time it used to take me with the vacuum and mop. I don't have to drag out the vaccum, mop, bucket, or cleaner. We have no dusty vacuum smell either, due to the heppa filter. The house feels and smells fresh and clean when I am done, without the use of any chemicals! I highly recommend this machine.

I love this! I can actually vacuum and steam mop at the same time. I have lots of dog hair and it is wonderful for this. I have used it on tile and hardwoods. The only real negative that I have found so far is that it doesnt fit under the edge of my kitchen cabinets...so i end up making a quick sweep around under the cabinets to pull dirt out and then vacuum up. Also it is not a super powerful vacuum that i would replace my regular vacuum for, but it is great for tile/hardwood floors. It saves lots of time over sweeping then mopping...and no cleaners or stickiness from cleaning residue.

I did a good bit of research and knew I wanted the HAAN SV60 but hesitated becuase of the $250 price. When I found it on Amazon for $125 I jumped on it. Now that I have used it I would gladly pay full price. It works exactly as I hoped, the vacuum picks up crumps, dog fur... The steam not only cleans well but dries immediately. I would recommend buying extra blue pads because it works best when you change the pads every 10 mins. I used mine on aprox 1,200 square feet and it takes me around 40 mins to vac and steam mop that area. The only cons are it can be hard to get into certain corners and it does not fit under the dishwasher. Some people may consider it to be a little heavy but the weight does not bother me at all. Also anyone expecting steam to be pouring out of the sides will be disappointed. It is a very fine mist that basically disappears when you are using it. It does work though. I went over my very dirty floor that had dog fur, mud and crumbs on it and then took a white paper towel with some clorox cleaner sprayed on it and wiped the same area. The paper towel did not show any color change.

I love this little guy! Although it is small it does a great job. I have mostly tile in my home, and three kids. Life gets messy. It was killing my back to sweep the whole place, then turn around and mop. For the most part this does both. However there are some times when you still have to get down on the floor and scrub something that is stuck on the floor yourself (such as stuck on food). I would highly recommend this product!

The first 2 times I used it, I loved it! Then I noticed that the steamer left white spots on my hardwood which i luckily was able to buff out but now I'm afraid to use it on my wood floors. The vaccum is useless. I need to empty the dust tray after vaccuming half a room, and wash the filter after every use just to get it to pick up dust. I've resorted to sweeping and picking up larger things like Cheerios by hand because the Haan doesn't do it. It seems to just push the dirt around. The only thing it cleans nicely is my kitchen floor, but it sits so high it doesn't go under my cabinets. I still need to sweep and mop there. This product was supposed to save me time, and its nothing but a big hassle!!

I've sent Haan countless emails complaining about it (nicely, I try not to ruffle feathers) and the only response I got was to send it back to the company (on my dollar) and they'd fix it if it were broken. Or I could take it back to the store where I purchased it, but I dont have the original packaging. Needless to say, I feel ripped off.

I purchased a Haan SV-60 after reading the reviews. It has exceeded my expectations. I live near the beach and have a large indoor dog.I also have all ceramic tile floors. I used to fight a constant battle with sand and dog hair. No matter how carefully I cleaned my floors I could still feel grit and see dog hair. I am always amazed when I empty the vacuum cannister at how much it has in it. My floors have a clean grit free feel. The SV 60 gets every grain of sand and every dog hair. The steam cleaning mode cleans it throughly.
