This is the most beautiful toy. It is soft and obviously well made. My 2 year old loves this ball. However, it is definitely something that I have to help with. The "rings" of the ball are a tight fit over the center stick. I assume this is so you can throw the ball and play with it and pieces dont fall off.

I would buy it again, just because it is beautiful and the materials feel lovely in your hand (my one year old loves to just rub his hand over the velour and the stitching). I would also buy it again simply because it gets put together differently than other stacking toys - and that has challenged my child's mind.

The toy allows you to match the "inner" colors of the pieces. So, the red piece is lined with pink. Then, the embroidered piece has pink on one side and blue on the other. When the pinks "touch", the ball is put together properly.

My little nephew (7 mos.), for whom I purchased this toy, loved it. He was cranky and hungry when he arrived, but was quite interested in exploring the ball. He stopped complaining and reached for it. What's more interesting is that another relative had given him an electronic ball--pretty much the same size as this--and his siblings placed that one side-by-side with this and turned it on (all the lights and music flashing) and he preferred this Colori ball. The better to stick in his mouth. Oh well.

This is a wonderful toy that sees a lot of use even after a year of having it. Our daughter still loves to play with it. It is a safe and durable toy that my toddler and her infant cousin can play with together.

I would recommend this as a gift. We received it for our daughter's first birthday. It makes a great gift.

This stacking ball is one of the nicest toys in my grandson's toybox. It serves multiple functions and allows different learning experiences for a little one. Because it is soft, little hands have no trouble gripping the ball by grasping the actual rings or the fringe which serves as the edging on the blue ring. The differing textures and colors of the fabrics will provide differing tactile sensations; the matching colors on the flat sides of two consecutive rings help younger children learn to stack the ball as intended. The rings of the ball are very nicely finished, none have raw edges or frayed seams; the fabrics have nice finishes and are tightly woven.

I agree with the one reviewer who stated that the adult needs to be prepared to play along with the child. The fit of the rings is rather snug and may be difficult for very young children to remove or restack. However, the snug fit allows one to use this as an actual ball for rolling or tossing. Because it is soft, there is little chance that anyone will be injured if the ball is propelled with exuberance or that some other household item may be damaged if accidentally hit with the ball.

This ball is definitely one toy you should consider either as a gift or as a purchase for the little ones in your life.

I ordered this toy because my daughter (6 mo) is fascinated with different fabric textures, and I thought she might like to scratch at the embroidery on this. She's a bit too young to disassemble it and put it back together, but just more ways in which the toy can keep her interest over the coming months.

Elsie was absolutely enchanted with this as soon as I rolled it out onto the floor. She fixated on it immediately, grabbed it, and went to town scratching on the embroidery and squishing the light-blue segment (which makes that lovely crinkle noise that she so enjoys). Best of all, she is so enchanted with this ball that it is actually getting her to move around more than she ever has before. Now she rolls and reaches with a purpose -- to get back to that colorful ball. I rated this five-stars for educational value because, at the rate things are going, I think it just might teach my baby to crawl! No other toy has motivated her in this particular way. The stacking ball is a winner!

I love Haba toys because they are well-made, beautiful, quiet (this has a quiet little bell in it, but no beeps or blaring music), and conform to EU standards instead of our more lax American ones, so I don't have to stress about my drolly baby gnawing on her toys. All the better that my daughter loves this one too!

I love this ball. It is colorful, well-made and machine washable. You can use it as a ball or in individual pieces as toys. Each piece has a different texture and some pieces have sounds (rustling, bell inside). My baby enjoys playing with this.

Sure, this product is low price, although not the cheapest. Since it is produced in China, it probably costs just [....] to produce. But at least they should have built some more squeakers, some more jingle bells, and maybe some whistles into it.
It has only 1 squeaker, only 1 jingle bell, and some plastic paper inside one of the sections, to make some noise.
I would recommend not to purchase this ball, this product needs to go back to the design table.
