beautifully made!,

what a great gift for someone's baby!! this gorgeous, well crafted, play bed-or whatever u want to call it-is extremely useful--the baby is safe, with soft sides and cushy base, baby will not fall out when sides are up (u can unvelcro them fpr a flat play mat for tummy time!!
the flower sticks can hold any of your activity toys for babies entertainment-can be positioned in 3 different areas on the side OR the height of the bar can be adjusted. I even put a boppy in it for a sitting play area for my one month old. I started using the mat from day one and in a week my son was noticing the fabric shapes stitched to the side and even was found holding a frog leg! (attached and very safe). Even though it is not B/W-the colors even provoke interest for newborns! (there is a swirl u can spin-he really liked that!) This mat is great to use in any room when u don't want to use the crib and is great to take to mother-in-laws house for safe napping (not too portable-but worth it!) I highly recommend it!!

Wonderful place to put your baby!,

Our 5 month old has been using this from the start!
First, he would reach toward the frog arm and bat at that. Later, on the opposite wall, he'd bat at the crinkly sounding butterfly. He's always been happy spending time in this cheery play pen! I am so glad (though the price was high for something sight unseen) that we purchased it. Excellent quality! I would consider it "essential". The toy bar, which can be positioned in 3 different slots, is now in the middle for him. Nowadays he gets quite a kick out of batting his toys around which we change up now and then to keep his interest. I wouldn't want to use this nice piece as a "nappy" changer. Also- it is so stimulating it couldn't be used, like a pack n play, as a portable place for him to sleep. Lately I've kept it within his pack n play so that it's more elevated. Haven't used it un-velcro-ed and open yet. It says "machine washable cover"- yes, it does zipper off but the problem is that the sides are so sturdy that I've attemped it but since they were so hard to remove, decided not to. Better if you keep an easily removable/washable blanket liner in it. Babies require so much to keep happy and occupied- this has done a great job.

Misapplied warning,
By
This review is from: HABA Dream Meadow (Toy)
I just did some research on this. This product is not required by the FHSA to post any warnings. The Dream Meadow does not have any small parts or choking hazards. It has not been the subject of any imposed or voluntary recalls. I am not sure why this warning is posted with this product.
