At 14-months, our daughter still plays with this toy. Love the fact it's made of wood and not plastic. We have tons of pictures from last summer when she was an infant with Maxe in her mouth! Great toy for the young ones.

My year old grandson loves Max. The wooden toy feels good in your hands. The paint does not chip. Max is extremely well made. the only negative is when he throws Max down from upstairs because he likes the noises Max makes as he lands on the tile below. Max has survived it all.

All haba toys are just wonderful quality. And in today's world of recalls, it is so nice to know that there are still safe toys made with true craftsmanship. The clacking noise keeps interest, and the colors are vibrant.

This makes a really pleasant, delicate, clacking sound. It's durable, the wooden stain stays brightly colored and is non-toxic, and you only have to wipe it with a damp cloth to clean it. It was even cuter in person than in the picture and it made my 3-month-old sons smile and reach forward. Total winner.

Max is very nice but I used it on the Meadow Play Rug by Haba and sometimes my son would pull so hard it would flip off and hit him in his face. I would suggest some of Haba's other wood toys. My son loved the one with the triangles and the one that looks like a fish.

My daughter is 7 months old and this toy doesn't really interest her. She likes chewing on the end yellow string. Maybe she will grow to like it better later?

My little girl loves to play with this toy (I also have the caterpillar from Haba) which I attaxhed using a link to the car seat handle.) She gets to hold on to the loop and grab this toy during the car ride home. It's a great durable and safe toy. She is 6 month old and loves it

Loving this little rattle! I don't understand why other companies don't make more toys like this! The colors are fun, size is perfect for little hands, the wood is highly durable and will last for YEARS, and I LOVE the fun little clicky sound the discs make! Good for shaking, good for chewing! :)

Great toy, sturdy and ideal for teething plus we're not worried when he chew on it as it's not coming from china.

Max is by far our favorite baby toy! My son (still only 4 months old) loves his bright colors and cheerful click-clack sounds. I hope that as he gets older, he'll start to notice the facial features and get attached to Max even more. He's just the right size for babies and somehow is such a cheery toy! The colors are the perfect hues and the ring on the bottom is perfect for grasping and chewing. The cord (ours is red, fyi, not yellow as pictured here) is knotted and glued within the wood pieces, so I hope it doesn't come undone one day, but it shows no signs of doing that and seems to be extremely well made. Obviously this is a bit pricey but totally worth it. You get what you pay for and this one will be easy to keep clean and last through many kids. I typically love the design and quality of Haba toys but keep in mind that a lot of them are still made in China, just fyi. Overall, would highly recommend this toy.
