Exactly what we needed it to be,

This review is from: Haba Walker Wagon (Toy)
We love the simplicity of this extremely well-made walker with its sleek, easy-on-the-eyes design. When we were looking for the right walker for our son, we did not need one that would teach him the alphabet in Spanish, set his around-the-house jaunts to a soundtrack of electronic music, or offer shape sorting and bead maze capabilities. When our son sees this walker, he gets excited because he knows exactly what it is for--providing a fun way to move and explore, while offering his little toy companions a ride, as well. The simple design of this walker also will make it conducive to pretend play as our son gets older. I can't say enough about the quality of this product. It is extremely safe and sturdy, and yet, our son has never had trouble pushing it over carpet. It is worth the price you will pay, and it will last for years.
**Update** My son will be 4 in less than 2 months, and he still plays with this. It is his grocery cart or push mower depending on the mood. And it's just as sturdy as the day we bought it.

This review is from: Haba Walker Wagon (Toy)
My boy received 4 similar walkers as gifts (a fisher price multi-fangled piano/walker, melissa & doug alligator push toy (Melissa & Doug Deluxe Wooden Chomp and Clack Alligator Push Toy, and another plastic piece that I don't remember well because it hit the trash on day 2). The Haba walker is superior to all for the following reasons:1. Straightforward toy - the kid will not be confused about its function by bells and whistles (the fisher price one is bound to lead to ADD with the 20+ buttons, non-stop noise, bells, music, and no OFF-button!!!) 2. HEAVY - this is extremely useful when the child feels like they can run but they are not steady on their feet yet (my kid never fell using this; the first time we took the fisher price walker out for a spin he fell twice in the span of 15 minutes). This walker is also more stable than the melissa & doug one. The downside is that the kid will not be able to steer this walker at the beginning, but they figure it out soon. 3. The Haba walker is QUIET (despite the lack of battery-operated buttons, the melissa and doug walker makes a ridiculous amount of noise). 4. The brakes are very useful - when the baby was too young to push this, I tightened the brakes to the point that the wheels would not turn at all - so he could use it as a sturdy piece to pull himself up. Once he became more steady on his feet, I loosened the brakes gradually. 5. Longer use time. Compared to the melissa & doug, the Haba walker can be used as a wagon to carry toys and give little friends rides long after baby learns to walk. 6. Best posture - I found my boy bending too much forward when pushing the other walkers compared to this. Shell the extra cash and get your kid a few quality pieces instead of tons of plastic toys that will teach him nothing about how the real world works. UPDATE We got this walker when my son was 7 months old and had just started pulling up. Now, at 2 years old, he still takes this walker for a spin daily. In fact he has abused it somewhat (by standing on the seat and trying all sorts of acrobatics while doing so, and surprisingly he hasn't fallen). The toy looks the same as the day we got it.

Best Walker Wagon on the Market! Well-Built and Made in Germany with the quality you'd expect.,

This review is from: Haba Walker Wagon (Toy)
Our 11 month old son loves this wagon and so do I. He has no problem at all pushing it on carpet and he's banged this wagon into my white wood moldings over a hundred times and it still hasn't left a mark and the wheels don't scratch or leave marks on wood floors either. I wonder if the last reviewer got a different wagon or maybe their child just isn't ready for it because I can't find anything wrong with mine. It's true that it's heavy but that's because it's solid wood and well-made and because of that it won't tip over on your child when they pull up on it. If you want a light weight cheaply made wagon that will tip over and hurt your child buy one made in China. You'll get your moneys worth with this wagon, you'll be able to pass this down to other children. Plus there are no small parts that could break off (the Radio Flyer wagon that's MADE IN CHINA has small plastic parts that many reviewers have said break off [Radio Flyer Classic Walker Wagon]) or lead paint (All lead paint recalls have been on China made products) on this wagon that could harm your child. Don't waste your money on plastic poisonious garbage buy this wagon and you won't regret it!
