My son received this for his first birthday, and we love it! The castle has so many interesting features: a door that opens and closes, a bug and little man that slide along ropes, trees that rustle, a chicken that hides in a pocket, mirrored windows, and one see-through window. The princess and knight will be great for pretend play as my son gets older, and he thinks the dragon is great! He makes a unique rattling noise when shaken, and his head and tail wobble back and forth. My son would have enjoyed this toy earlier than 12 months, and I know it will be played with throughout his toddler years. A fantastic toy for creative play.

***Update: Now my son is almost 3 and we play with this castle frequently. The dragon often chases the princess and knight into their castle; however, when he is feeling nice, the dragon offers them rides on his back. This is a wonderful toy for pretending! My son is developing a fascination with things that verge on "scary" (dragons, ghosts, wolves, dinosaurs), and this toy allows him to create pretend scenarios that explore a slightly darker theme with such happy little characters - so appropriate and not-too-scary for a young preschooler.

My kids love this toy! I have a baby and a toddler, and this was intended as a gift for the baby, who's nearly 8 months old. Turns out, the 3-year-old loves it too. Lots of imaginative play going on here, fun possibilities for storytelling and more. Plus, squeaky/crinkly/shiny stuff to entertain the baby. Very nice product.

My 2 and a half year old received this last year for Christmas and loves it. There are so many options to play. There is a bag to store it in when you aren't playing with it.

this toy is kept in her toy chest at 15 month, she goes and picks it up every night and then plays to take the people in and out of the house. perfect 1st birthday gift. my girl loves this toys since she was 8 months. We play together on the floor for a long time with this toy. Haba is the way to go.

This was my first purchase of a Haba toy product, and I love it! Not only is the toy well-made, but it is absolutely adorable, and there are so many neat little details that my baby loves (a flag that goes up and down, the door that opens and closes, a little bird that pops up on one wall, crinkly paper in the leaves). It is very easy to pack up in the plastic case that it comes in, and I think it will be great for imagination and making up stories once my daughter gets a little older (she just turned one). For now, she likes playing with the castle, and with the princess and knight - which she calls "babies". I would definitely recommend this product!

We bought this as a gift for my niece on her first birthday. She was interested in it right away. There are lots of great moving pieces on the castle and the dragon has a cute segmented body -- the adults in the room couldn't resist playing. I'm not sure how long it will hold her interest, but when she opened it it was a hit.

I love this toy. It is so cute and my 7 month old loves it too. It is easy to fold and use for travel. It has lots of little things on the castle for her to play with and the dragon is a rattle too. I know that as my daughter gets older she will continue to play with this and find even more things to do with it.

I love this toy and it is a great deal. You get the "fabric book" that converts into a castle (2-sided), lots of neat "toys" and things for baby to examine on the pages of the book and you get 2 people plus the dragon. The colors are beautiful and everything is washable.

I bought this for my daughter when she was 5 months old. She's almost 4 now with a 9 month old sister and this toy has never left the toy shelf - it is continually played with by my daughters as well as anyone who visits - boy or girl (even by me) :-). It takes up minimal space (I suggest you keep the packaging for storage) and easily transportable on car and plane rides to Grandma's house and elsewhere. SO GLAD I ran across it on Amazon as I know nobody else with this toy and have never seen it again since I bought it originally.

I bought this for my 9 month old baby for Christmas. She likes it. It has activities for each side. I think she may grow into liking it more. The dragon has a rattle in it which she likes. My only drawback is that I thought it would be bigger. I didn't pay attention to the size details. My baby can look at it like a book, not fit inside it !! My mistake. Otherwise, it is cute, well made and fun !
