We ordered this playmat for our son's Christmas present last year. At the time, he was 13 months old. He immediately loved the car and enjoyed the features of the mat, such as the mirror, rustling door, and squeaking sun. Now, at 21 months, our son plays with this mat almost daily with much enthusiasm! He loves driving his vehicles around the village, through the houses, and under and over the bridge. He also enjoys pretending to mow the fabric grass. The 3-dimensional features of the playmat facilitated him learning several great concepts (over/under, in/out, through/around), and this toy has provided so many opportunities for vocabulary building. Something to consider is that the little wooden cars and trucks made by Bajo are perfectly sized for this mat, and those are primarily what my son uses on it. HABA's Dwarf's Land playmat is a wonderful, imaginative toy with endless play possibilities, and it is probably one of our most favorite HABA purchases.***Update: Now our son is almost 3. We still play with this mat frequently. Perfect for pretend play. Still don't see us outgrowing it anytime soon. Money well spent!

This play mat is so much nicer than most of the baby stuff out there. I bought this because my baby is quickly outgrowing his Tiny Love Gymini which he loves. This is good for when they can sit up. My kid is not quite 6 months and is still learning to sit. When he is able to on his own he going to go nuts for this thing. Right now he is enjoying tummy time and slobbering on the built in mirror. The little dwarf in the car is so cute. All of the HABA stuff is excellent!

my baby ( 5 months) loved this play mat from day one...we took it with us on vacation - its a little bulky in a suitcase.. but weighs next to nothing.the cool thing is that you can take apart all the houses and trees on the mat or put them together..depending on where the baby lies - and it keeps the baby warm (being on the floor can be a little cold sometimes. We also found this mat stylish and made with so much care. it goes along well with other toys and stuffed animals..even as the baby grows.. I think the mat can be used for a few years.

My 2 year old used it when baby. Now both my 3 month old and 2 year old use it. Babies love the beautiful colors, the mirror, the parts to grab, the noises. Toddler likes to play with cars on it. I wash it in the washing machine and hang dry. Colors still as sharp as two years ago, looks new. It is beautiful.

I bought this for my then six-month old daughter two months ago and at the time she was only interested in rolling over. It was fun for her to encounter all sorts of 'obstacles' and the mirror. Now she is sitting up and she loves the houses and trees. Just yesterday she used the mirror to test her balance by leaning all the way forward to see her face, then leaning backwards to an upright position. This was definitely worth the money!
