4.0 out of 5 stars Very Cute, but Potential Choking Hazard
These little chocolates are adorable, and the nine of them can be arranged in a fun puzzle-like shape in the tin. The scale is reasonable to other play foods when you look at them as a novel chocolate, like Valentine's candy. As always the Haba tins are fantastic, and I love having them to store the various foodstuff in. The chocolates themselves are rich in color, with...

3.0 out of 5 stars Tiny
This is a very high quality toy, well made, but very small, I am worried that even older kids 'pretending' to eat them might accidentally choke on them.

The chocolates themselves are rich in color, with little embellishments in green and darker brown hues and they're lovely to look at and have a perfect satiny-smooth finish that is pleasing to the touch.

However, like many Haba foods they are incredibly tiny (I'd say most are in the range of .75" x .5"). The recent choking death of a 4-year old girl in our town has caused me to look at these Haba play foods with closer scrutiny. I think it's wise to use an extra measure of caution when allowing your children to play with these - make them a supervision-only toy until your child is way past the age where there's a chance your he/she might put this in his/her mouth, or to opt for something by a company like Plan Toys which has a fantastic safety record and manufactures larger scale foods, many of which would even be safe for toddlers size-wise. Save these minuscule Haba foods for the older crowd.

This toy promotes imagination in your child's "kitchen". These little wooden pieces look like real chocolates. They are so well made! No cheap little platic parts here. HABA makes really well-made toys - like they used to make years ago. It's great they come with a metal storage tin, too.
