Habitat Post and Beam catalog review,
By Linda A. May (Saco, ME United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Habitat Post & Beam: Quality Homes and Additions Since 1972 (Paperback)
Since I'm in the process of searching for someone to design and engineermy future timber frame house, this was just the kind of catalog I was looking for. Like the description says, it's for someone who is researching companies and shopping, because it is more of a sales catalog then a comprehensive guide to post and beam in general. It gave me lots of plans and ideas to thing about and described Habitat's construction methods and its features and benefits. If you're in the market for this type of construction, this is a good place to start.

Informative Post & Beam Catalogue,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Habitat Post & Beam: Quality Homes and Additions Since 1972 (Paperback)
Yes, this is a marketing catalogue, not a book about post & beam. And yes, it's available for free as a .pdf on Habitat's website. But it's so convenient to be able to open a book and show a picture to someone else, rather than making them walk away from what they're doing in order to come look at a .pdf on the computer. Worth the $12, which is about commensurate with the costs of info packets from other post & beam companies.
