I saw "Hable con ella" again last night on TV. It's one of Almodovar's finest films and for sure my favorite one. If you ever have the opportunity go and see it too. Above all try to catch your breath while Caetano Veloso sings "his" Paloma.

Pedro Almodovar accostumed us to serious movies in the last years, with the apogee we all saw with "All About My Mother", and its touching jazzy score. Here the choice is clearly more symphonic, without losing some of the slow themes that involve the listener in a self-created atmosphere. Alberto Iglesias evolves as the director Almodovar, and the result is moving to say the least. But in this album, the score gets to be slightly upstaged by the songs sung by Caetano Veloso and Elis Regina, which give us two true pearls.
