It's unforgivable that these guys aren't yet enjoying the same kind of success as Death Cab or Modest Mouse. Listen to "Always Like This" or "Ghost" and tell me they're not every bit as talented. The entire band has a synergy to them that makes it sound like they've been playing off of each other for years and years. Everything flows so well, and seems so natural and fluid. The rhythm section, especially, is unbelievable. Reminds me of "Silent Alarm"-era Bloc Party. I have to watch my comparisons though, because BBC has produced a sound that - while it pays homage to other sources - is completely their own. The only (minor) gripe I had was that I wanted to hear Jack Steadman, the lead singer, just once bust out in a scream like the "lost and loaded" part from "Lazy Eye" by Silversun Pickups. But hey, guess they're just not that kind of band. And there's so much else to love on this album that it's almost not worth mentioning. Seriously, if you've never heard this amazing band, check out "What If", "Cancel On Me", or "Always Like This". I'm sure fans of Two Door Cinema Club, We Are Scientists, Vampire Weekend, even Florence & the Machine, will find a new favorite band. And hopefully, once you've bought this album, you will SHARE IT WITH YOUR FRIENDS! Spread the love! Tell everybody about Bombay Bicycle Club! Give 'em the recognition they deserve!

This is a really solid debut producted by Jim Abbiss (Artic Monkeys and Kasabian). What a pleasant find and evidentially I'm not the only one as there are no other Amazon reviews for thisyear. Give it a go and listen to Lamplight, Always Like This and Cancel On Me... solid!

I've had this album on repeat for weeks and weeks now and still haven't tired of it. I can't recommend checking it out enough, they take influences from all over the place including bands such as sonic youth, joy division, stone roses, placebo and mumford and sons (flaws album) to name a few a few mind but their driving bass lines and unique vocals from Jack Steadmen help create their own style. I love listening to this album on my Denon D2000s, the pounding bass line in Evening/Morning and the church like mantra of Always like this just never tire.Saw them live in Manchester last month and it's genuinely one of the best gigs i've ever been to and i've seen Led Zep live...
