Fabulous Book!,
This review is from: The Hades Moon: Pluto in Aspect to the Moon (Paperback)
This book is incredibly well written and well researched. It deals with those of us who have the planet Pluto in aspect to our moons. As a person who has Pluto opposing my moon, Pluto ascending and venus in scorpio, this book helped me understand that I am sane, after all! You will have a rich reading experience if you have intermediate astrological knowledge, but even a beginner will really enjoy the explainations in this book. Ms. Hall is an easy to read, poetic writer. I highly recommend this for your Astro-bookshelf.

The Hades Moon is a "must read" book for anybody with Moon-Pluto aspects in their chart. You will never think of this aspect in the same way again. With its fascinating case studies ( the Kennedy family, John Lennon, the Bronte family and more) it is a compelling read.It is a very profound book that delves into the depths of the plutonian experience, revealing not only the darkness and pain of Moon -Pluto but all its phenomenal pontential. I loved it and it changed me deeply.

Judy's book is an indepth study of Pluto and the Moon along the same lines as Jeff Green's 2 Pluto books. Judy is an excellent writer and astrologer. As a practicing astrologer for over 13 years, I highly recommend this book.

I read this book many times in the past. It helped me to face the process that I was going through. After that I gave the book to a darling friend but could never forget it since there was some occasions I wished just have little consultations done. Now I am re-buying it and anxious for it to get in home since I got even more mature and I am sure some passages won't shock me at all.

If you're an Astrologer, and I am, this book is well worth the price. For those (me) born under the Hades Moon or in conjunction with other planets it will be a very enlightening read. One of the finest books in my Astrology Library to date.

Very interesting book albeit a little depressing. Would definitely purchase another book from this author.

Hall's introduction to The Hades Moon suffers from run on sentences and poor sentence structure (as if both author and publisher missed an edit). We are already starting off on a poor note. The message isn't so much lost as tarnished. While Hall presents an expanse of material, it isn't differentiated; consequently, the book suffers from a lack of concision. The themes Hall presents are "typical" Plutonian themes and her exploration of Western myths is sufficient, yet this remains a book that neither ignites, nor grounds. Without discounting Hall's experiences, the book, to me, errs in being sensationalistic in the way that some sexual abuse books of the 80's were. Pluto itself is galvanizing, but her treatment of it is compassionate to the point of coddling. Likewise, there is a pervasion of "New Age" influence, which is, on my behalf, a stylist objection to her lens that comes as an expense to the content of the material. If you don't have a good handle on Plutonian themes, this could be helpful, though regrettably I didn't find it enriching. I did enjoy Hall's discussion of the Bronte family and Plutonian themes in the Bronte family's charts.
