Can Pacilio stop him ... before all Hell breaks loose?

From the Publisher

As fast-paced and relentless as a wrecking crew on steroids, THE HADES PROJECT is a gripping, frightening tale in the horror-meets-mystery tradition of THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS. First-time novelist Justin Gustainis has written a real page-turner that will leave mystery and horror fans clamoring for more.

5.0 out of 5 stars You won't realize the evil that awaits you, December 18, 2003

The Hades Project!
If you have an insatiable need to be scared, you have to get this book! The story unfolds with a dark, evil force that escapes the gates of Hell to make its way into this world. Torture, sex, and murder are the calling card for this sinister power that is bent on unleashing even more horror. You won't be able to put this book down as the unsuspecting investigators only begin to realize the fate that could be awaiting them. The story is delivered so well that your eyes won't leave the page. Just don't forget to turn the lights on before you begin or you'll find the words creating chills that won't go away in the dark.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good book not needing much profanity, November 9, 2003

The Hades Project by Justin Gustainis

I became aware of the book when the author mentioned it in
alt.horror.cthulhu. Here is the plot in very few words: An
inter dimensional door is opened to Hell. A demon comes though
who is into sex and gruesome murder, performed by the bodies he
possesses. A hunt for him ensues. Meanwhile the demon gets the
word from Lower Authority "Enough with the fun stuff. Get that door open so we can all come through and have fun".

"Hades Project" is gripping and chilling. The mundane
background: cars, weapons, and geography are well researched to
the point where you could you could believe that the whole thing
is real. First chance I get, I'm going to check out Sager Avenue
in Fairfax City, Virginia where much of the action takes place.
The characterizations are also good, as shown by the speech and
actions of the persons.

My complaint is the use of the words "f---", "f---er", and
"f---ing" to the point where they become tiresome. Perhaps the
author pencilled them in for shock value. They were not needed.
The book is shocking enough especially as it moves to a breath
taking pace in its conclusion.

I can recommend "Hades Project" for horror and swift action.
When they make a movie of it, I will be first in line at the box
office.

5.0 out of 5 stars All Hell Breaks Loose, December 10, 2003

I never fully realized what the phrase "all hell breaks loose" meant before. Didn't realize how one man's mind let's horror reshape itself and settle in the dark corners of my heart and soul. Justin Gustainis has pulled me into a horrible nightmare that is all the more terrifying after being raised a Catholic. Where "The Exorcist" was a single battle between good and evil, "The Hades Project" is all out World War Infinity. Strange how the story sticks with me, like the aftertaste of medicine...and perhaps that is what Justin has given us....a vaccine of fear. I laughed at his intro about summoning demons... when he said "don't blame me if nothing happens".....but even more so, "don't blame me if something does." I'm not laughing now.
