1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the time it takes to download February 13, 2012

This book is terrible. It was not something that captivated any of my children, ages 3-13. The hadiths are very weakly linked to the stories. Overall, a very disappointing book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good stories, but hadith connection weak December 14, 2011

The stories are all fictional (I thought they would be taken from the stories of the Sahaba or from Prophetic hadiths themselves) but they are interesting for children. However, I noticed the actual hadiths on my iPhone are not correct. The words in Arabic at the end of each tale are jumbled and therefore not accurate. Also, I found the meanings of the hadith and the author's attempt to connect them to fictional stories were sometimes weak, or not as relevant as I would have hoped. I received my undergraduate training in the Hadiths sciences and therefore can realize these points.

In sum, the author has a good idea of trying to introduce stories with morals to children and adults alike. I would recommend this ebook but just take note of the Arabic hadiths at the end and verify the Arabic before quoting them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Serves the purpose well December 29, 2014

A very good read, indeed. I read the book to my kids. Most of the stories starts well and ends well too. Another good thing is that the stories are short enough, you can read those to kids before bed. Every story relates to a Hadith of our prophet, this way children got to know 40 hadith, without even memorising them. They remember those stories, and consequently remember the hadith, as well, that relates to that story. So, they understand those ahadith with the context of the story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Family Entertainment January 10, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I was thoroughly surprised to find this great quality book presented with such universal appeal and humility at the same time. The Arabic Text does not display on all devices (works better on phones than a real Kindle!), but that is not the book's problem. The book provides several allegories that are followed by Hadith narations. I initially bought this to read to my toddler, but found myself stealing several pages ahead of him!

I would encourage the author to go for a sequel to this one with more depth to the story to support the readers as they mature also.
