This review is from: Hadrian's Wall (National Trust Guidebooks) (Paperback)
This book concentrates on a limited stretch of Hadrian's Wall, from Housesteads to Cawfields -- roughly six miles. While it gives a good (if short) general background on the history, construction, and archaeology of the wall, especially for those who know little about it, this book cannot be regarded as a guide to the entire wall. The lovely color photographs make up the lion's share of its 36 pages (including cover. I recommend using it as a supplement to an in-depth guidebook or as a souvenir.
