As a parent, you probably are always thinking of ways to make learning fun for your child. Alphabet Find does just that. This educational app makes learning letters, numbers, and shapes a fun, interactive experience for children.
Find the Right Image
Playing is as simple as listening to the alphabet, number, or shape and then finding it in the grid of images. To play, listen and look for the given letter, number, or shape, and then find it in the grid of images. If you need a hint, wait a few seconds and the correct answer will start to bounce.
You will be amazed to see how quickly kids start recognizing images. Kids have fun earning stars on every correct answer. As they progress through the levels, they can take up timed challenges.
Make Education Fun
Keep tabs on your child's progress by checking out your child's score card. Choose from three levels of difficulty. Alphabet Find engages your child's auditory, visual, and fine motor skills. This app is a great way to help your kid develop a sense of achievement while they learn basic literacy skills.
PLEASE NOTE: This app lets you purchase digital content using actual money. You can configure parental controls for in-app purchases, which will require your Amazon account password or a 4-digit PIN, by going to the Settings menu from within the Amazon Appstore.

my two year old, who is just learning all of these basics, likes it. it entertained him, but i doubt he learned anything from it. he would just wait for the bouncing then click it. however, my four year old also played it. she rarely had to wait for the help and it seemed to be a good review. she did get confused a couple of times because it wouldnt tell her if she should look for a capitol letter or a lower case one. she actually got frustrated when it gave a hint because she hadnt had the time to figure it out herself. an option to turn off or lengthen the time before the hints would be fantastic. a great review game. a not so great learning game.

This app is ok for a child who knows letters, numbers, and shapes. As a teacher, I didn't like how it quizzed letters, numbers, and shapes at once. There should be an option to choose categories and then mix them up. I also didn't like the font chosen, a more basic font would be better. There also should be more time for the child to think before the answer bounces. My 2 yr old started out interested, but was easily frustrated while playing. Wouldn't recommend it.....

Nicely made - however I wish there were a way to separate letters from shapes into two different games. Mixing them together is hard on a kid learning the alphabet. Also, if the same letter shows up twice (j and J) it doesn't specify which one it wants and tells the kid she's wrong if she picks the one it wasn't expecting.

***UPDATED REVIEW 10-12-12)*** All 3 Suggestions for IMPROVEMENT HAVE BEEN IMPLEMENTED. MUCH BETTER NOW so I increased from 3 to 4 Stars. KUDOS to Developer for listening and Responding very well to our concerns. Nice graphics and Sounds but it had some problems that have all been fixed nicely now (see below):
Mixed items made it harder to learn and TIMER defeats purpose if too early.
1) Needs to be presented to child by CATEGORIES of letters, numbers or shapes, NOT ALL MIXED TOGETHER.
2) Time before correct answer item bounces should be a SELECTABLE period by the user to adapt for each child's speed.
3) Letters should be presented by category of CAPITAL or small letters to prevent confusing young learners.
Adding these options to MENU would improve this nice looking app and make it a wonderful Fun TEACHING TOOL.

The permissions for this app aren't listed. Missing and incorrect permissions seem rife on the Amazon Appstore. Why is this when they're accessible to the appstore programatically? Too bad this app got dinged, but they didn't self-report either.
