Animal Find
Animal Find
Can you find the Jellyfish?

The world is full of unique animals, and the Animal Find app lets your child discover them. This fun matching game designed for young children encourages learning through spoken word and picture association. The pleasant narration and beautifully animated graphics are sure to make this animal safari fun and educational.

Match the Animals

Facing a grid full of different kinds of cute animals, your child will listen for the cheerful narrator to speak an animal name. Simply touch the matching animal. A correct answer is awarded with a pleasant tone. The animal disappears from the grid of choices and another is added.

Find Animals helps to promote self-directed learning time. An incorrect choice results in a non-alarming buzz. After a few seconds, the animal will bounce to help your little tyke match it properly--without your help! As your child learns the animals, they'll be able respond to the animal names much more quickly and earn more stars.

From Boars to Narwhals

Your child will learn all kinds of exciting new animals. Animal Find sends your tyke searching for more than just cats, cows, monkeys, and tigers. It's easy to learn more specific and rare animals like the anglerfish, chameleon, narwhal, and antelope.

Play either of two game modes: Play All Day or Tik Tok. While playing in the timed mode, choose a difficulty mode of easy, medium, or hard. Choose the difficulty mode to match your child's age.

Animal Find will help to develop auditory, visual, and fine motor skills. Save scores and watch your little one improve. With beautifully illustrated animals and graphics, your child will stay engaged and entertained.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cute app with no permissions! June 19, 2012

Animal Find is a cute little game for toddlers to about age 5-6. Graphics are bright and cheerful. Game play is very simple for little ones to learn. I think the hints are great so kiddo's don't get stuck on one and get frustrated or discouraged. The hint time can be changed to longer or shorter, which is a helpful little feature. The "Play all day" option doesn't have a level difficulty select, but it gets harder as time goes on by adding more animals to choose from. The "Tik Tok" has easy, medium and hard options. I love that there are animals on here that aren't your usual animals kids learn, like dog, cow, cat, horse, sheep, ect. There are animals like krill, rhino, starfish, squid, flatfish and hedgehog. The animal graphics are a little more interesting than what you normally find in kids games. The animals have personality and facial expressions and are cartoony.

Oh, did I mention there are no permissions and it's only 6.7 MB? Sweet! It also saves high scores with the players name, so you can tell if you kid is learning and getting faster at the game. I would say this is an all around good app if you have kids in the targeted age range and want a phone or tablet app to play with them.

1.0 out of 5 stars loaded with ads December 28, 2012

Game was 'updated' to add advertising and in app purchases. Hadron are thiefs, they want to charge to remove ads from what was a paid version. Garbage. Uninstalled.

This game has a matrix of animal pictures and a clear voice that states the name of an animal and it is up to your child to select the right one. If they select the wrong animal then a "Boing" sound is played and they try again. If they select the right animal then a new animal, or two, pop up in the matrix and they get points. They can save their score at the end of the game to try to improve the next time they play. There are two types of ways to play the game, one is the Play All Day Mode and the other is the "Tik Tok" or timed mode. As the time runs out the device plays a ringing bell during the last seconds to alert them to work faster. Each game has three levels of Easy, Medium and Hard.

You can select a Hint time of 5, 10 or 15 seconds or Never. At the end of that time period the correct animal begins jumping for attention so you can see them and pick them. This selection is under the Gear in the upper left hand corner. You can also turn off the music by touching the music symbol in the upper RH corner.

The graphics are well done and as I said the narrator's voice is clear and easy to understand. This is a good game for young children six and under. It asks for no permissions on your device and the size is 7.69 MB so it does not take up much space. It also does not have any buttons to push to give the child access to the internet or any store to buy anything. It is nicely designed.

Two small dings are I notice that Tick Tock is misspelled as Tik Tok, cute, but when children are learning I always tried to not teach them things that are incorrect. I also wish it had a return to menu button on the Hint Setting Page but instead you have to go to the up arrow at the bottom of the Kindle Fire and then touch the back arrow.

I still gave it 5 stars as a nice children's game that helps them learn animal's names and shapes and how to interact with a tablet. I also like that fact that it is a safe game that doesn't let them spend money, play advertisements or take them to the web with one button touch. Good job developers!

1.0 out of 5 stars Bad.
Horrible, horrible popup ads that take up the full screen and are very easy for a child to click by mistake and download more unwanted apps without supervision.

Honestly i can't rate this as a good game. in game adds + in game purchases on a childs game automatically gets it one star instead of the 2 it was worth.

Got this for my 4 year old nephew to play because he likes hide and seek games. This is more about animal recognition. So, it may be better for him once he can read.
