This little guy is small enough to not be obnoxious in a smaller aquarium. I have a Fluval Edge tank and wanted to be able to read the temp readily, without having a thermometer that would be an eye-sore. I hate putting the 'digital' types on that use adhesive; if you go to remove them, there's a residue to deal with, which is not at all to my liking. This has a sturdy suction cup and is easy to read. So that it would be both functional and out of the way, I put it on the top of my tank in a back corner, making it completely invisible unless I'm looking down into the tank. For me, this is perfect.
It doesn't have any frills and the numbers are truncated, so if you need something that says "80, 81, 82, etc" this is not for you. However, for my purposes it's perfect. You have tick marks between single digit numbers, so it isn't hard at all to figure out the temp while keeping the thermometer inconspicuous.

I admit I might have gotten a lemon but I have been having problems with this Thermometer. Don't get me wrong, it does tell the temp & it looks okay in the tank but it keeps coming off of the side of the tank. I have tried several different spots & yes I have cleaned both the spots and the suction cup before adhering it to the glass but within a day or so it always comes off. It did work okay for about a month or so but hasn't worked for weeks since. I'm going to use an airline suction cup the next time I dig it out from the bottom of my tank and hope that it works better.

Arrived on time & in good shape.
Displayed temp seems to agree with the setting on the heater. So both seem to be working OK. Or they both agree in their inaccuracy.
Only qualification is that the temp can be a tad difficult to read ... just be careful where you stick it on the tank wall.

Nice size but hard to read
Size is good, reasonably accurate, very hard to read. The marking are small and difficult to see. I ended up replacing this item.

Nice and tiny for nano's but inaccurate.
I got a few of these, yet not one of them reads the same temperature... They are the perfect size and very inobtrusive but not very accurate. Read more

very small and fragile
I dropped it and broke it with in 10 minutes of opening the box. I am sure it will work, but it is very fragile.

Tiny but ...
Yes, this thermometer is small and unobtrusive, but it has been poorly designed. I find it extremely hard to read even with 20/20 eyesight. Read more

This is a genaric P.O.S. almost imposable to determain what the temp really is, my nice one says 72 this one is saying 80? my nice one is closer to the tank heater explain that!! Read more

Very small
This thermometer is only 3 or 4 inches long. I can't see the mark or the numbers without working really hard. I think the temperature of off by about 8 degrees. Read more

Great Thermometer
It's small, it works right out of the box. You will have to get real close to the thermometer to see what the temperature is though. Doesn't bother me. Read more

small but accurite
works perfectly, also it takes little space and only one dollar but hard to read because of how compact it is. it gets five stars because of the price and the accurate readings

Easy to use
Inexpensive and easy to use and the temperature is clearly visable. Bought along with other aquarium products to check on the water temperature and keep it warm enough
