If you treasure your silver, don't use these bags. I bought a half-dozen Hagerty Silver Keeper bags and placed perfectly-polished valuable antique spoons in them. Six weeks later, the spoons in the Hagerty bags were covered with large brownish-yellow splotches. (The rest of the silver in the silver chest that was not in Hagerty bags was unharmed.) The chemical in these bags seems to actively promote the very problem Hagerty claims to prevent. I called Hagerty and got no response. We finally had an e-mail exchange and was told to return the bags. The bags were returned to Hagerty weeks ago with an explanation and a suggestion that they test these bags but there has been no appropriate response. A follow-up e-mail from me to Hagerty has received no reply. In all fairness, Hagerty did offer to replace the bags but I declined the offer saying I would be afraid to use them. I very much like other Hagerty products. Their silver polish is great. (I used it to remove the stains caused by their Silver Keeper Bags.)
