At first the pants fit really well & seemed sturdy. I was impressed with the Q guarantee. So, I bought six pairs right away. Unfortunately, after just a few washings, the bottom of the hem started fraying on each pair. The pant leg did not drag on the floor so there was no reason for this to occur. The fraying was so significant, I had to trash all six pairs after getting only 3-4 wearings out of a pair. While the Q guarantee sounded good, it doesn't cover the lack of quality fabric which frayed so badly after just a few washings - which by the way, were on the gentle cycle.

Should have read these reviews before buying. Purchased two pairs of these pants for my brother. He wore one of them just once and the pant hem is frayed so badly he had to throw them away. Haggar should be embarrassed.

I've bought Haggar khakis for years, finding them to be of better quality than Levis Dockers. However, the quality of these pants has taken a serious nosedive just in the past year. I bought 2 pair last Fall (2009) and the hem at the bottom showed fraying after only a few months. The fraying only got worse and the hems are now completely threadbare. The pleats at mid-shin didn't fare much better and began to fray even sooner than the hems.

Additionally, the expandable strap on one pair simply snapped and detached from the inside of the waistband. I was able to fix it temporarily but I don't expect it to last.

After years of wearing such a sturdy product, it's intensely disappointing to see Haggar jump on the lower-quality bandwagon seemingly to save money in production.

The pants are comfortable. The cuff hem at the ankle is already wearing through and almost to the point of fray. I am delicate, work is light duty and pants are washed 2-3 times per month. Wrinkles don't stay away, even when removed from dryer immediately and put on hanger.

These Haggar slacks are the most comfortable slacks I have. Yes, a previous pair of slacks began to fray at the bottom of each leg, but I had worn them for years, very frequently, and worked outside with them. They are my favorite slacks. They are slow to wrinkle and don't need ironing after being washed.

Update: Although the slacks are generally tough and durable, the exception is the bottom of each leg, which begins to show signs of fraying after only a few months. This is a disappointment for me.

The waist band on these slacks is not made the same as I later found in Haggars at Macy's. The "comfort fit" has only one elastic piece on each side, leaving the back side of the adjustable waist band loose enough to stick up above your belt unless you carefully tuck it in. Also the elastic band is skinny and cheap compared to the Haggars you can buy in a quality store. It looks like Haggar experimented with a material short-cut that didn't pan out and now they're being passed off as a mail-order bargain. Also, the "denim" blue color is much too vivid for my taste.

The pants lost their color and faded in two washings. This item is differently something to stay away from. It might had been a poor dye lot. But I would not recommend to anyone.

The tan pants cuff after just 6 months is already fraying. The dark pants faded after being washed just a few times.
