5.0 out of 5 stars Very cool game April 17, 2014
Verified Purchase
If you like quality puzzle games with amazing graphics and smooth controls (on Kindle Fire) then this game is for you. Good music, fun sci-fi story, and easy controls. I am 48. I own a ps4, Xbox, Wii, and several handheld systems. When I play an app on my Kindle, I'm not looking for something pretending to be a console game that eats up so much storage that it crashes my reader. I'm looking for something relaxing, immersive, and fun. Something that not only understands the limitations of the platform, but becomes the very best game it can within those limits. This is one of those few games. Great fun for playing when I want to take a break from reading, which is, after all, what the Kindle is really for.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Polished Stylistic Puzzle Fun June 27, 2014
Verified Purchase
About a month back, while looking for a new game, CLARC was one of the games I seriously considered- but since I was more in the mood for action, I ended up with CastleStorm - Free to Siege instead. However, I am pleased as punch to pick this game up for free during a big Amazon Free App extravaganza. What a fun, really polished spatial puzzler!

● This is a large game, approximately 280 megabytes fully installed. It did self-install on my external SD card, but for those who don't have one, be aware of the necessary space needed.

Minimal permissions with no adware or social media integration beyond Amazon's GameCircle and in-house analytics, Insights The code also contains Google In-App-Purchasing (IAP), but I haven't run into any IAP whatsoever. Perhaps there is a freebie "lite" version available on Google Play that one can upgrade to this version, leaving the IAP code still present but moot. Nevertheless, it looks like the full content is present here on Amazon.

The animation is smooth, the story witty, and the puzzles quite engaging. The stylistic art is strongly reminiscent of the console BOARDERLANDS games, and although CLARC is no CLAPTRP, the humor and graphical renderings certainly gives me an urge to load up my PS3.

The game purports 12 hours of gameplay, so decent game value although the price tag is a tad steep, but considering I spent the same amount to become a CASTLESTORM VIP member, I can't complain. lol

All in all, a safe, engaging, well designed puzzler that now has a welcoming home on my tablet.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good... but frustrating August 3, 2014

The overall design and graphic look is quite interesting. Starts out being a sort of logic puzzle which I liked, but the puzzles quickly became repetitive until they were more about timing than logic. The thing about timing is that a touch device really provides a terrible UI. Turning the wrong way or moving when you didn't want to causing you to endlessly have to do the same areas over and over was frustrating. I finished the game but won't be playing it again. If you're not getting it as an AOTD then I wouldn't bother.

I start playing this game about two weeks ago and MUST say that this game are amazing. For people who want play and use his mind. Unusual geometric figures and tricks. You can spend hour or two and understand that your time didn't go in vain, because your mind working all the time.
Good job was done by creator's. THANKS guys for this game. What's a pity that I can't give 6 or 7 stars.
CLARK is my favorite game for now.

4.0 out of 5 stars Clarc: Awesome but hard July 2, 2014

Very interesting game. The controls are easy to learn and use. There are a lot of levels and they get progressively harder. However, many of the levels are very hard to figure out, some almost too hard. It's a good game to just pick up and play for fifteen minutes. Too much more and you might get frustrated. Definitely not for young kids though.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, great game! June 27, 2014

CLARC is one the best games I've played on Android. It has nice graphics, controls are easy but game itself is challenging, especially on later levels. If you like to think and solve puzzles this game is for You!

Pros:
+ graphics
+ controls
+ gameplay

Cons:
- story (nothing special)

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, Addictive, Challenging Game August 5, 2014

I'm playing Clarc on a Kindle Fire HD and have NO problem with gameplay or loading. I'm usually an adventure/hidden object gamer, but Clarc is now my favorite game, hands down.

When you first play, the levels get progressively and sometimes frustratingly harder. You can access some walkthrough videos on YouTube, and don't feel bad if you use them because even though they give you a general idea of how to get through a level, your success comes down to strategy and timing.

Your brain will get such a fun workout trying to get Clarc past lasers, traps, and those loathed Tankbots, that you will actually feel a sense of accomplishment when you get through.

The graphics are incredible. The layers and thoroughness of the levels reflect the developers dedication to making a quality game.

I have now beaten the game 4 times and am downloading it again because the replay value is high.

Also, there may be a glitch that shows phantom levels after 25. I asked the developers about this and they responded quickly.

Kudos to everyone involved in making Clarc, and I feel it's worth the money and time to play it.

I've played CLARC for weeks now and its one of my favorite games on my tablet and am almost finished with it. In short, you move boxes, redirect lasers, trigger switches and use drones while avoiding enemy robots and sentries. The games has beautiful cell shaded animation, smooth gameplay, excellent visuals and is intellectually rewarding.

I find the story line entertaining, but its too easy to blast through dialog accidentally and miss the text. The dialog is not exactly kid friendly, For example your friend's name is Butt, a clone was "leaking all over the bathroom floor", some robots at the start say "screw F.A.T.H.E.R". F.A.T.H.E.R is shown having an obvious hangover and in another Butt gets drunk on toxic waste.

All puzzles are possible even though I would get stuck on a single level for hours trying to solve it. At some point I was almost convinced that some levels had no solution, however when you find the solution it is very rewarding. If you like Quell and other polished puzzle games you probably would like this as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Logic
This game uses basic logic, you have to think a bit, but it is not impossible. Takes some dexterity with the controls on the tablet, that was probably the hardest part.
