This water dispenser is very convenient, with both hot and cold water and a small refrigerated unit. The cold water is not quite as cold as I would like, but still cool enough to be refreshing. The refrigerated unit keeps soda pop and other beverages nice and cold, as long as the door is shut completely.

I bought this for my small business. I followed the instructions, primed the pump first and turned it on. Nothing, no power to the unit at all. Called Haier first in case there was something I was doing wrong they said no "they either work or they don't". He said if I sent them a check for $8.95 (to cover the shipping) and cut off the power cord and sent it to them they would send me a new one. Which always scares me, if they are telling you "just throw it out it's not even worth it to us to fix" it can't be a good product. They also said this could take 4-6 weeks. I then went to Amazon's site, they were great. They were going to send out a new one right away to replace it not even waiting for the old one, but they no longer had the product. So I sent it back and got a quick refund from Amazon. (I did not have to pay for return shipping).So this unfortunately is a bad review for the water cooler but a great review for Amazon.

Hi. My roommate bought this water unit. The water gets cold, and hot. The machine makes a terrible putter sound and the water that comes out taste like plastic. It gets the job done but its worth spending a little more on a machine that does not make the water taste like plastic.

This is a very poorly made cooler. The fridge door is weak and flimsy and the first and the replacement came broken. It does not fit the fridge seal correctly. The water leaked out of the unit and the unit feels hollow and cheaply made...I replaced this with one I found at Lowes by Whirlpool for the same price and I can not get over how solid and well built it is in comparison with a lot more features and still has a great fridge! Save the time money and aggravation I went through in setting it up, to repacking it and waiting for returns and refunds. Just take a quick trip to Lowes and buy yourself a great water cooler there!

The water tastes awful. It's not built well. The refrigerator door keeps coming off.

This water dispenser leaves a terrible taste to the water. We tried contacting manufacturer and were told that it is known to change the taste of the water, but there is nothing that can be done and no way to clean it or anything in a way that will stop it from tainting the water. We tried cleaning it with anyway with baking soda, but we could not get rid of the terrible flavor of the water. We were using Poland Spring water by the way.

Also, the cold side would freeze up and stop dispensing water. It would have to be turned off for several hours to thaw out before any water would come out.

We ended up returning it. The taste of the water was so bad, nobody would drink it. We got a machine from Poland Spring and the water tastes fine now. We were very disappointed.

Our contractor provided this water dispenser for our office, and I have to agree with the other comments. The product does do what the box says, it heats and cools water. I did not have a problem with the water temperatures. I did take issue with the following however;

* The refrigerator door is flimsy
* Water tastes like cheap plastic
- This is a problem with the storage tank; you have to dump out the first cup of water to dilute the plastic taste down. After a few months of use, the plastic taste gradually gets to a point where you only have to throw out a small amount of water.
* The water is dispensed very very slowly (Exacerbating the next problem)
* The buttons need to be pressed very hard to open the valves.
- Since the water dispenses super slow, to fill a coffee pot I press both the hot and cold buttons simultaneously, which causes the cooler to rock back against the wall)

I would not wish this water dispenser on my worst enemy. If I had bought it myself, it would have been returned on day 1.

I bought this unit for our small office. The water has a bad taste, like melted styrofoam. I followed the manufacture's recommendation and added baking soda, vinegar and a gallon of water to the reservoir and I let it soak for +30 minutes, then rinsed, the taste did not improve.

I am the first person into the office in the morning, I noticed that the first cup of water dispensed is room temperature, after the first use the unit clicks on and approx 30 minutes later the water is cold, same for the hot water. I assume the unit goes into a sleep mode after a few hours of non-use?

The unit is made of a flimsy plastic, the buttons are difficult and awkward to push in, sometimes you have to place your cup on the shelf and hold the unit steady with one hand while pressing the button with the other, it takes at least three fingers to depress the button far enough in to get a full stream of water. The water dispenses in a very thin stream, takes forever to fill a large mug.

We have only had this unit for a week and I have received so many complaints from co-workers I plan on returning it to Office Depot today.

I cannot recommend this cooler. It did not even come close to a usable product. It was hard to put water bottles on. The cooling capacity was so small that after 3 paper cone cups of water the next was barely cool. The refrigerator was cold but created so much condensation that there was always a puddle on the floor. I sent it back after 10 days costing me $42 in shipping.

I purchased this item before reading the reviews. I had to give this product a shot since i had purchased it already. Anyways, product caused the water to taste like machine oil/plastic taste. I cleaned this product out and got water everywhere in my kitchen doing so and still didn't help. So if you get a bright idea to clean it out and run water through the machine, it doensn't help, save your time and frustrations!!! The water comes out tooooo slow. I would not recommend this product. I'm waiting for UPS to pick up the water dispenser.
